1st Visit- It was very good, the place has seating & a restroom, (although this isn't a place for eating in-house), but the option exists. As for the food, you have lots of choices, although the restraunts themselves have limited menus, like there's only 4 kinds of pizza for example at Detroit Brick Pizza Co. When you go in to pickup, all you need to do is say I have an order to pick up for _, and they give it to you. Attached is a picture of the cheeseburger pizza I ordered from Detroit Brick Pizza Co. 2nd Visit- This time we got:Sesame beef, chicken shawarma, the chicken sandwhich, the egg rolls, the chocolate pudding, carrot souffle, bite sized cupcakes, and the chocolate brownie. The sesame beef had no beef, but we picked up a new one for free and got a cookie for free as well, so the refund system works well, the other option was a 5 dollar Wonder credit. The chicken shawarma was good, but not large enough for its 18 dollar price tag (it didn't even have a side, the chicken sandwich was good. As for the desserts and egg rolls, the egg rolls were amazing, the pudding and souffle were also good, as was the brownie, the bite sized cupcakes were nice, but they're the kind of thing you get once and usually not again. Overall, it was slightly worse then last time, but that can be excused due to it being their opening day and they were quite crowded. The staff was as nice and helpful as last time, and pickup was the same...
Read moreTried for first time, I found the advertisements a bit weird and confusing regarding the concept. Others did as well. There are only 3 tables here. Some older people seemed to be confused thinking it was a sit down place. The young man who did come out from behind the counter to help people use the machines or understand the concept was very nice and super courteous. I got Brick pizza, it was okay. I personally like eating in places as I think bringing things home degrades the food. So much great pizza around me maybe that was a mistake to get. It’s very small inside and the tables had food runners or people waiting for their orders sitting in them. The wonder for me was this fresh stuff or reheated stuff, my order just came out too fast for it to have been made fresh. You can not see into the kitchen and the one employee was the only one you can see. IDK I’ll try it again but……maybe this is for the...
Read moreI was excited for this food hall to open, but the “brands” all have similar items or concepts which greatly limits the options. However, there are still plenty of things to choose from.
We ordered a pasta dish, a salmon entree, and a salad. All of the items tasted good but I will never go back. The pricing is on par with a sit down restaurant but the portions do not match.
You get a piece of salmon the size of a deck of cards (one serving) with some sauce on it for $25. Not even a discount to add a side. Why bother ordering here when you can go out to eat or to your favorite restaurant and spend the same amount for more food?
The salad was mostly arugula with a few chopped beets.
The pesto and shrimp was was only $19 and it tasted good.
I applaud the concept, appreciate offerings, admire the execution, and admonish...
