Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Tooele

OMG, I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD AN EMPLOYEE CHALLENGE ME FOR NOT LIKING WHAT I WAS SERVED!!! I ordered a strawberry Margherita like I have done hundreds of times. When it came it tasted like fruit punch. The server must have seen my face because she asked if the drink was OK. I apologized, had my husband test it, and we both agreed it definitely did not taste like a strawberry Margherita on the rocks. She offered to bring me something else. I ordered something else and it was delicious. However, a man (who I thought was the bartender), came over and said "what is it you want me to do" in a very hostile manner. Every one at the table including myself, could only stare open mouthed. I finally pointed to what I ordered and said the name on thinking he didn't know what I had ordered. NO! Because the next thing he said he wanted to know why he was having to dump a drink down the sink. I was too shocked . I then apologized and said it didn't taste like a strawberry Margherita. Before I could say it wasn't the way he made it, that it was probably just the mix, he started to argue with me.........I apologized again said I didn't like it. After awhile of wondering what just happened, I watched the 2 lady bartenders laughing and talking with 2 patrons and holding my drink up to 2 patrons. The same man came back . Ok, I'm no longer shocked, I'm mad! I asked for the Mgr. I worked in restaurants and bars for over 20 years so I know people can be pretty horrible to those that serve them, but I had been honestly humble. Ok, so now for the 2nd shock. The same man came back and said he was sorry about my misunderstanding his 1st interaction with him?????? Everyone at the table except me started talking. Saying "you were really angry when you came the table " or you were very condescending" etc. He loudly said he had been doing this for 25 hrs and... I told him to go away. The food was amazing and Alisha was phenomenal!!! We will come back because of her...and the good food. Sorry this is so long but I wanted to be as accurate as...

Our first time to this AppleBees thought we try it out. It was 3 of us. My 8yr old, Myself, And Husband. We walked in it was nice. The host was training a new girl so we waited a little bit but not too bad. Our waitress was Faith. She started off good. We ordered the wonton chicken tacos as appetizers. Then ordered our main course. I got the bourbon chicken and shrimp. My kid got the kids meal chicken tenders, and husband got the chicken Alfredo pasta. Also a half a rack of rib. Once the food came Faith our waitress was nowhere to be found. All other waitresses we seen were covering her tables and asking if they needed anything but not one person came to our table to do our refills for our drinks. Our food was so bland and dry we wanted to get extra sauce for the pasta. It was nasty 🤮 . The chicken and shrimp was salty. Faith came after 20mins to check on us. We told her refill and extra sauce for the pasta it was dry. She came back 10mins later🤦🏻‍♀️ it wasn’t busy . I can see her doing something else. No sorry or anything. By the time she came we asked to get to go boxes we were done with the service. She brought our check. The Check didn’t look right. I questioned what was this item. She stated oh that’s the chicken tenders. Then I told her we ordered the kids meal chicken tenders. She stated oh yeah that’s my mistake I added the adult one. Instead of her saying I’ll adjust it and apologize. She said she will go get my manager so you can speak to him. I don’t really need to speak to the Mgr just change it🤦🏻‍♀️🙄. The manager was useless. He just came to say oh I’ll adjust it to kids meal. No apologies or anything. I’ve worked customer service for 30yrs and Faith and her Mgr needs more customer service training. The food had no taste. Just like the service here. We usually go to Applebees but this one in Tooele sucks. The service and food. This was on 3/12/25...

Okay, Applebee's had convinced me to try them again, Round 1, Drinks, we asked for 1 white milk, 1 chocolate milk, 1 dragon fruit lemonade no ice, and 1 Dr Pepper no ice. We received 1 white and 1 chocolate milk. Our drinks came with ice. (Service -1 point) appetizer we ordered chips and salsa. The salsa was fantastic! Tasted freshly made, the crispness of the tomatoes, jalapeños, and fresh chopped Cilantro! (Delicious!) The chips came out nice and crunchy and not burnt and soggy. We ordered, craft mac and cheese with applesauce, chicken Alfredo with strawberry yogurt. We also ordered hot honey chicken skillet paired with waffle fries and a side of bacon mac and cheese, along with a chicken quesadila salad. The craft mac and cheese tasted like it had been sitting for awhile, however my daughter devoured all of it. The chicken Alfredo wasn't cold but wasn't hot either- seems like it was sitting in the window for a bit before it was served. (-1 on food score) My wife's chicken skillet was popping with flavor, and she really enjoyed it! Nice and hot, slightly spicy and packed full of flavor! Her mac and cheese sadly wasn't hot, the cheese on top wasn't melted, showing it never was hot enough. (-1 Food point) My quesadila salad was light, packed with flavor. Slightly tangy, nicely coated in dressing, chicken was glistening and not overcooked, and the quesadila was hot, cheese nice and melty, and did not disappoint! Our server Amy was very busy. She did her best to tend to all her customers. Sadly, my lemonade never had a single refill. My girls and my wife, however, did receive refills, so I'm only docking her 1 star for service! Overall, the experience was great, I wouldn't mind...
