Janna's Java — Restaurant in Tooele

As I write this review, I write it with a heavy heart. I want to start by saying, I love your beverages! They are so much better, than any other in Tooele coffee house. I feel like your drinks are reasonably priced, and worth what you pay for. However, in the past I'd say six months, I feel like your customer service has severely went down. I have loved Jana's since my first Mocha White Chocolate. Due to a new job change, and having to be to school immediately after, I sometimes come within 10 to five minute of closing. On two separate encounters, I was served by the same two young ladies. Usually all of the baristas on staff are very kind. The one that helped me both times was VERY unkind. The first time, my drink may as well just been thrown into my vehicle, because that's how it was thrown into my hand. Had my hand not been there, I'm pretty sure she would have thrown it in my lap. Second time as a I pull up, the same barista; I see her yell to her co-worker in the back: "ugh. it's that same car again" eye roll I then let this go, thinking "yeah she's right I shouldn't be here so late." Then I get to the window she violently slams the window open, and says: " I sure hope you hope your paying with a credit card, otherwise I can't help you" another eye roll I have never been treated like this by any other Jana's employee, and am disappointed to say I have given up on coming here due to these two bad experiences. Though late I don't feel I need to be shamed because I go there when it wasn't convenient for you. I have now made my way up the street to Starbucks. Their drinks are definitely not as good, but they are happy to help me, regardless of what time it is. Without attitude. Realizing that just because I'm the last customer, doesn't make me any more invaluable to their business, and their checks do consist of revenue from me and my tips. I really wish this hadn't happened, I love your business and up until recent was a full supporter and sent friends etc. However since this experience I just can't bring myself to go back. I hope future staff, or current learn that you are on display to the public, and your actions reflect positively or negatively on your business. I'm very sorry Janna, and I wish you...

I have very fond memories of going here when i was younger with my aunt. It was my favorite and after so long i finally moved near again and noticed the paper used for punch cards changed to be stronger and more glossy, cool. I just found out all drinks but smoothies are dairy free, all the ice cream they use is dairy free.. that super surprised me. That makes me happy 😺 i thought they were using dairy this whole time but yay no dairy in my frozen coffee! ☕ My favorite lately is the Frozen Chai Latte 'w/1 shot (intensity of flavor)' Decaf... Before that my favorite was the Frozen Macchiato Decaf. My friend likes the no flavor Frozen Latte. It would be nice if you had a bigger building and parking lot eventually, but the biggest need is that giant dip when you turn into the parking lot from the not as busy road side.. cars get scratched all the time, i remember that being there since i was a kid and it's been many years, why has that not been fixed? Oh and it's almost too noisy at the window to hear then speak. 🪟 Anyway, overall i love the coffee and it's just too good to pass up the occasional visit which is sometimes a few days in a row. 😆 Janna's Java just makes the bestest coffee I've ever tasted and it can be decaf so it's hard to say no to...

I've never been here until today, and I had no idea what to expect. I didn't know the service would be that good, and that the staff would be that accommodating. But boy, were my eyes opened today. I hadn't even seen the menu yet, but I was having my order taken! I love that about this place, prompt service.

She (I did not catch her name but everyone working at 4:30 on Sunday was great) was so understanding and offered me some good suggestions for a great smoothie. I got something that she has not received before, basically all the berries they had to offer. I was NOT let down. From the first sip until the last, it was just the right amount of flavors of berries and cream. The berry flavors were decently balanced, and I even got a big dollop of whipped cream on top. She seemed unsure that I would enjoy the smoothie, but rest assured unknown barista, it was incredible.

Unfortunately I won't be able to return here (I live in Midvale) but if I'm ever back in the area, count me in. I highly recommend this establishment.
