I don’t often leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience. I visited Nighttime Donuts for the first time on last week, after moving to Tooele. I had planned to grab a quick breakfast before work, but unfortunately, I ended up leaving without ordering.
When I walked in, I immediately noticed that the shop wasn’t very clean. While I initially chalked it up to the building being older, things quickly went downhill from there. I was greeted by a friendly and professional-looking employee with her hair neatly pulled back in a bun, she was the only staff member who appeared clean and presentable.
Although several employees were visible, only one was actively helping customers which was the employee that greeted me upon arrival. Two others stood near the front counter, making minimal effort to assist, and one of them appeared unkempt, wearing dirty clothes and with greasy hair. After several minutes of waiting in line and getting closer to the front counter, I was overwhelmed by a strong odor of body odor coming from someone behind the counter. It was unpleasant enough to ruin my appetite completely.
Between the lack of customer service, the poor hygiene, and the general cleanliness of the shop, I lost my appetite and walked out.
Cleanliness and presentation are crucial in any food service environment, and unfortunately, this visit did not meet that standard. While the food itself looked appetizing, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor hygiene and lack of professionalism. I hope management addresses these issues, as most customers would likely be uncomfortable being served in such conditions.
Unfortunately, I won’t be...
Read moreThis morning I was treated horrible by the a staff member and had the worst consumer experience. I woke up early to pick up donuts for my own employees. I arrived to Nigh-Time at around 4:58am I was first in line at the drive through. At 5:00am the staff member came to the window greeted me and asked what I wanted. I began to tell the staff member that I would like two dozen..... Then the staff member rudely interrupted me and asked me to drive around again and get back in line because she needed to take care of her preferred customer before me who was behind me in line. I told her "No, I will not get back in line I was here first" and then I asked I her if that was good customer service to take care of a perceived preferred customer who was not first in line before you provide service to the customer who was here in line first. She then said to me. "Well we don't open until 5am so yo will have to come back at 5am and wait because my preferred customer is priority" I said "Well it is 5am and I was here first so am I not considered to be your priority customer". She rudely again said "Sir, if you want me to provide you service you will have to wait until I am finished with my preferred customer"! After that comment I drove off and went to another donut shop in Salt Lake who provide me with excellent customer service. Shout out to Banbury Cross Donuts! They were amazing! Plus they gave me a huge discount on my donuts because of how horrible the staff treated me at Nigh-Time. After this morning I will never buy donuts from Nigh-Time. Horrible, horrible...
Read moreI extremely don’t want to do this but this morning of July 10th 2025 I was reminded of why I don’t go to nigh-time anymore. Walked in for I seen a truck at the drive window Went in was not greeted which is ok I understand most mornings are busy not to worried about it stood behind a customer that was being helped already and I began to notice there was 3 lady’s on shift that I could see one was helping the customer other was organizing turn ups and then I seen one come from the back by this time I been standing in line for about 3 mins. Around that time another customer comes in and stands behind me and the one lady who came from the back comes to the counter and says I can help who’s next. As I began to announce my self of what I would have liked the one customer who came in cut in front of me for I was closer to the display looking at what they had. I said ok that’s fine hes more important then me there are 2 other lady’s here no big deal you get your breakfast bengal sandwich sir. So I continued to stand listening to the other 2 lady’s discuss how many turn ups they need so just about 5 more mins go by 2 more customers walk in and I look over at the one lady helping Mr breakfast sandwich guy talking about her tattoos and the other 2 lady’s still figuring out how many turn ups there are and I still have not been greeted I’ve been seen for sure but nothing. So a total of 10 min go by so I left. Sadly that’s why I stopped going about a year ago I loved going but over time it’s just became dull...
