This is a pretty location and the staff are friendly. Good job on that. Unfortunately the food I got (chili, fish sandwich, chicken sandwich and double California burger) just wasn't good. I know, I know. Everyone's tastebuds are different. What I dislike, others will enjoy. As for me and my tastebuds; the food at Freddy's is consistently disappointing. The chili was a Texas style no bean. I'm sure it would taste ok on a chili dog, but by itself it wasn't good. The meat is ground too small and thin. There were no meaty chunks clumped together. It was thin like soup. Not substantial enough to be a meal on it's own. The crispy chicken sandwich was bland. The breading and the chicken were lacking in flavor. The sandwich slice pickles were the standout of this sandwich, but they weren't enough flavor by themselves to save the dish. Perhaps adding some mayo would liven it up a bit. The fish sandwich was the biggest disappointment. It is two triangles of fish (like I buy from the frozen food section at a grocery store) topped with a slice of pasteurized, processed cheese food with a dollop of sauce on a bun. Not good. The Double California Burger was recommended by friends. I'll admit this is the second location I have tried this at, but it was still a let down. The pictures of it look good, but the flavor is not there. I don't need an entire slice of onion. A few rings would be fine. The sauce that's on it cannot be tasted. It is lost in the background to the other flavors. It's a decent enough burger, but for the price I expect more (even from a fast food place). #KCFoodie #CulinaryAdventures...
Read moreMy family and I are on a cross country road trip. We are originally from the south west of the country, So Culver’s is a rarity and a treat seldom had. We ordered three different types of butter burgers and two cheese curds. Waited 15min for the food to be prepared, totally understandable considering the quality of product the franchise typically produces… but this was not that. Instead we received three burgers dry to a crust yet coolder than the internal temp of the A/C in the establishment. Cheese curds that we don’t believe to be cooked but rather left in ambient temperature to be thawed, placed under a warming light. They were so rubbery that the consistency rivaled that of a laffy taffy. It was an unbecoming and vile experience. We left without finishing most of our food and went to Freddy’s across the street to get dessert and an order of cheese curds to redeem the terrible food experience at Culver’s. Definitely not worth the cost at all. The price to quality breakdown was not anywhere near what...
Read moreFreddy's is probably my favorite fast food place, however, in two visits this week this location got the order wrong Both times. I stopped on Saturday and ordered a single cheeseburger. No cheese is on the burger. Since I was still there I returned it to the counter and they nicely made me another one and gave me a card for a free combo without even asking so that was nice. However, a couple days later we ordered a bacon double cheeseburger and received a patty melt instead. Like not even close. Who even likes those with the rye bread And all those onions? So disappointing when you're expecting a bacon cheeseburger and you get rye bread and onions. We didn't look at it until we were home so obviously not going to drive all the way back to return it. I would suggest you check your order before you leave. Do...
