I am sorry to have to write this. The facility, I believe, is fairly old has had lack of maintenance plus other concerns. Upon check-in I was told that the King size bed room ordered was not available and was placed in a 2 double for slightly lower cost for the one night. This wasn't a problem, but the reason was. Check in person stated they had a new housekeeper and not all the rooms were cleaned. This is not an excuse. Also when I asked about wifi that was advertised as throughout the property, was told that 3rd floor had poor reception. I never said wifi was most important. Had I known the room I was given on first floor was poor quality, I would have wanted third floor. I was not told the room I was given on first floor was one that guests with dogs used. One of the door security measures was loose and only needed new screws to fix. Also part of ceramic sink had grey dirty material on the right. I did not know this was dried glue used to repair it. When I placed some water in the sink, the entire bowl fell to the floor. This was at 11 pm and was offered another room, but I was leaving at 6-7 am and wanted to sleep and not waste time repacking and moving upstairs. Also the pool advertised had been out of order for 5 days awaiting repair or pump replacement. This could have been mentioned upon reservation. The advertised hot tub/"spa" was working, but set at upper 80's, low 90's, much too cool. Should be 100-104 deg f. The check out manager said they keep in cooler as guests wanted it cooler. I have used a hot tub/jacuzzi often, set at 104 and have never had one in a motel that wasn't at least 100 deg f and felt hot, not just warm. To compare, the Choice Privilege facility I stayed in the next night had a similar layout, but was very nice, no smell, WIFI worked fine, indoor swimming pool had a slight chill as it should have. I have never been at a motel with such a poor experience as in this Quality inn. The checkout manager, who substantiated the problems, and apologized profusely, took $15 off by bill. I did not argue for more, but given all the problems I had in this one night stay, I would think I would have been offered a complementary night or significantly greater credit. It was a miserable experience. Even the minifridge which had one shelve that had fallen inside, had been placed in corner of room with microwave on top turned at an angle and could not be made parallel to fridge as cord was too short. The room seems to not be originally meant to have fridge/microwave and place haphazardly in corner of the room. They did function. I have further complaints, but this is enough. I showed the checkout manager the fallen bowl and door security measure that was loose due to missing and loose screws. None of this is acceptable. The owner of this facility must be made to do prompt repairs and better maintenance and maintain sufficient staff. The staff I spoke to were apologetic and have nothing bad to say about them and the concerns I had were not related to them. I have photos of the fallen sink and loose door...
Read moreThe hotel itself is in good condition and the rooms are clean. The staff , however, left a lot to be desired. Upon checking in Sunday evening, the front desk staff was polite and helpful - she was the only one like this. For whatever reason, the deposit wasn’t processed initially, but I intended to extend my stay another day so I expected the issue with the deposit to be corrected while extending my stay. When I attempted to get to the bottom of why the deposit wasn’t processed (in order to reach a solution) the front desk clerk, a different Jack than the first, said I would have to wait for the manager to come in and that she would call me when he arrived to take care of this. The call that I received from the manager was rude and off-putting. Instead of offering reasons for or solutions to the complications he informed me that I had 5 minutes to take care of the payment or get out. I immediately went to the front desk to take care of this. The manager was not friendly and offered no understanding about the issues at all. However, I had the deposit and additional day rate payment ran successfully through the same card I paid with initially, and while I was in route back to my room I received a notification that an entire third day was charged to my account. I ended up discussing this with the first lady that checked me in who again was very helpful. The next morning as I was gathering my things to vacate, at 11:12 the second front desk lady and the male manager entered my room and became very confrontational and accused me of smoking in my room (which I had absolutely not done) and became belligerent and condescending. I refuted his accusations and responded that their security cameras should have definitely seen my exiting the building several times to go to my vehicle TO SMOKE. While the manager was standing inside my room talking crazy to me he kept calling me “sweetheart” in a very passive aggressive manner - to which I told him not to do anymore. He told me that I was lucky that I didn’t have more money in my account for him to take because he wasn’t going to be able to rent the room out again, which was completely inaccurate and that I was not welcome to book there again. I have stayed in countless hotels over the late couple of months due to relocating and residence hunting. I have had NOT ONE PROBLEM with any of these places and stayed in sone places (deposit required) several times. This is the only place to take my deposit for false reasons and treated me with rudeness and disrespect. I wouldn’t ever stay here again regardless of the welcome to book again or not. The manager is a real piece of work who thinks he can accuse people of whatever, overcharge accounts and disrespectfully address customers. I will continue to share this experience with others in order to deter anyone I know from staying at this motel. The worst experience I have ever had, wit the rudest staff and management for no reason and then to have my deposit taken over false...
Read moreI don't know where to start with this place. We were traveling and booked a room ahead of time. I should have looked closer at the reviews. We get there and the front deck person, even though very nice, was very stressed over checking people in. Told the person in front of us she couldn't do any AAA, military, or any other discounts because there were to many events in the area. She found our reservation and told me I had to pay for the room even though I paid when I booked it online. We finally got that resolved. Then there was an extra $3 hotel fee. For what I don't know, never had a hotel add on fees, but $3 who cares. One computer showed it approved but the other computer showed it wasn't. So to not lose a room I paid for over $3, I just used another card. But yet it was charged to both ($3 big whoop but that's not the point). Head to our room on the 2nd floor....hotel smells musty old with a cover of paint. But by the looks of all the marks on the walls it hadn't been touched up in some time. Vending machines out of order. Even though there's no smoking in the rooms, people do it obviously due to the cigarette butts in the window sill I found while trying to fix the window so it would close. All the tiles on the bathroom floor are either broken or loose, you have to mess with the tv over and over to get it to connect to whatever jankie cheap cable service they had. Pillows are fluffy though... Road noise is horrifically loud as is the floor above you anytime someone so much as sets a foot on the floor. Don't know why but tried the pool. Hot tub is luke warm at best. Mold and mildew in cracks water has sat, bathroom door and other wood rotting away. Didn't take the chance at getting in the pool, the ladder getting in and out is risky and didn't know what was festering in it. You could faintly smell chlorine but the surroundings told me to beware. If you're desperate I guess a bed is a bed. Didn't stick around long enough to try out the cereal continental breakfast. Long story short, be wise, be safe, stay...
