A Disappointing Experience at Jimmy John's on Gage
Rating: ââ (2/5)
I recently visited Jimmy John's on Gage and ordered the number 13 sandwich, and unfortunately, it was not a satisfying experience. This was my second visit to Jimmy John's, and both times have left me disappointed.
I visited the restaurant around 3:00 in the afternoon, and it was not busy at all. Despite the lack of customers, my sandwich was lacking in ingredients. It had very little of anything, mostly just bread. I was hoping for a substantial and flavorful sandwich, but instead, I received a sandwich that felt empty and unsatisfying.
The bread at Jimmy John's is often praised, and I must agree that it was the highlight of the meal. It was soft and fresh, adding some enjoyment to an otherwise lackluster experience. However, the lack of filling ingredients was disappointing, especially considering the price of the sandwich.
Given my experiences at Jimmy John's, it will be a while before I consider going back. The lack of ingredients in my sandwich, despite the restaurant not being busy, left a sour taste in my mouth. For the price I paid, I expected a more substantial and flavorful meal.
I hope that Jimmy John's on Gage can improve their consistency in providing a satisfying dining experience. While the bread is excellent, it's important for the fillings to match the quality and quantity expected from a sandwich shop. Until then, I will explore other options for a more...
Read moreI've been about 10x just to this location. It's pretty much like every other JJ I've been to, so if you're a fan you won't be disappointed. If you don't like JJ, then this isn't the place for you.
Others that have reviewed this Jimmy John's seem to be reviewing the corporate policy about pricing structure and delivery radius, rather than this specific JJ. The location is brand new (about a month old as of this review) and some of the staff are in training. Regardless, my orders have always come out right and relatively quick (in comparison to other JJs, but much faster than say a Schlotzsky's or Subway).
As for charging extra on the cheese, it only applies to items that aren't standard dress. The JJ combo numbers 1, 5, 6, 7-17 all come with cheese on it. You get less customization with a JJ sandwich (without being charged extra), but I think the ingredients are higher quality. And with the number of sandwiches available, it's not hard to find something you like.
As for how to hold the sandwich, it's true, the sandwich ingredients will pop out the back if you hold it in the middle rather than at the bottom - on the French bread. They use French bread, wheat, or lettuce wraps for the sandwiches. So maybe the wheat would be better options for those...
Read moreTypically I have a great Jimmy Johnâs experience, but today I went in and ordered The Frenchie (I order it often) and this worker took my money, didnât make me a sandwich, then after 5 minutes of waiting told me I can,âpick whichever one I liked.â referencing this clear cylinder container with premade sandwiches in it. I picked one and was on my way. Got home and opened the sandwich, it was 100% warm as if it had been sitting out for 5 hours and the salami was beginning to turn grey. Just stick with freshly made sandwiches, theyâre usually great. If you see that clear cylindrical container with sandwiches in it... avoid and ask them to make a new sandwich for you. It was annoying because another worker offered to make a fresh sandwich and this worker said,âno I got it.â Pretty sure Iâm getting food poisoning from this since I ate a couple of bites before peeling back the paper wrapping realizing the salami had turned grey đđ big disappointment, hope this employee gets fired. The worker also blew his nose and didnât...
