Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Topeka

In December my family came here to eat for my Dad's birthday, even mentioning that being the reason for our visit that evening. We had a larger group of approximately 15 people in our party, as the food began being delivered everyone received their meals except none other than my dad, who was the first in our group to give the waitress an order. Well as the waitress checks on this the rest of the table begins eating, majority receiving cold food, steaks that were overcooked despite asking how we wanted them cooked when placing our order, and part of their meal missing all together. Our waitress returns and informs my dad they were now out of that particular cut of steak (porterhouse) and offered him something else, another blow to the guest that was the sole purpose for eating here that night, but he settled for a different option and off she went to put in his order. After a significant amount of time passed and the table finishing up their meals, we finally were able to flag a staff member down after they delivered the table next to us their food to ask where my dad's meal was. Several minutes later my dad was finally brought his meal which was lukewarm at best and wouldn't you know, included the incorrect side items. All the while we still have not seen our actual waitress since we initially placed our orders. Our waitress hardly ever checked on us throughout the entirety of our visit and had to be flagged down in order to get drink refills, condiments for the table, to go boxes etc. They were extremely busy this evening, but seeing other tables around you get served/checked on regularly while we have to flag staff down for assistance is poor customer service. Despite this, in February we made the mistake of celebrating my son's 21st birthday here as we decided to give them another chance since the last visit they were busy thinking that was the cause of the previous poor service. Unfortunately that was not the case. This evening they were not busy at all and had only 3 other small tables besides ours. In fact, they were so slow this visit our waitress had the time to stand one table away from us, laughing and joking with what seemed to be a "regular" before they left instead of checking on our table to see if we needed anything. Instead we had to ask the staff delivering our food where our missing items were and that our steaks were overcooked once again. In fact, when we did ask our waitress for something she would dash off before we finished speaking so we would have to get straws, napkins, to go boxes ourselves during this particular visit. This used to be my family's go to place to eat for birthday dinners, but after getting the same poor service we will no longer be returning. We tried to come in today for an early dinner, to celebrate mother's day late since we couldn't that weekend. There was 8 of us and they put us smack in the middle of the restaurant/walkway, they put a small table at the end of the booth which has to be the dumbest thing ever like really? Right where everyone is trying to walk to the kitchen/bar/bathroom, it would be different maybe if we were in a corner but for staff and patrons to be giving us an attitude when we needed to get up and go to the bathroom is ridiculous I just can't believe they had us sitting like that. Food took forever to come out, stuff was wrong like always, I've been telling my family for over a year we need to stop coming here because there is always an issue with something. This is also not a place to come if you get overwhelmed easily (this is more of a personal thing not their fault but i am just throwing it out there)it is beyond loud to where you can't even hear yourself think. With all the music and people talking it's just a lot. Then I was trying to leave I was carrying my baby/carseat and I was trying to get out asap since it was busy and people kept flying around the corner then getting mad at me like I'm in the way and wanted me to move over for them and I almost hit someone with the carseat and I was like "where do you want me to move to?? I literally can't get over anymore than I already am!!" People are so inconsiderate and act like they're more important than anyone else. This is definitely my last time here, same with my family. I am a Texas Roadhouse fan and eat at them across the country. My visit tonight was very disappointing. My wife and I are traveling from Northeast Texas to Minnesota. We stopped for the evening here in Topeka, KS. At 5:30pm I called in our order at this location. I ordered a Prime Rib medium rare with a loaded sweet potato, house salad w/thousand island dressing. The young lady asked the kitchen if the prime rib was available. She confirmed it was and would be ready around 7pm. My wife ordered a salad with grilled chicken and ranch dressing. The young lady called my wife who was outside waiting at 7:00 and said they had just run out of prime rib. So I had to substitute a ribeye instead which she said would take another 25 to 30 minutes. My wife agreed to wait ( about 45 minutes. Needless to say frustration had set in. When she returned to the room and we inventoried the bag the issues compound. She received her salad and I receive a medium well ribeye and that was it. No loaded sweet potato, no house salad with thousand island, rolls we cold and hard. It is very clear that there is not quality assurance with this locations team). Needless to say, they received full payment and I received half my order. Did I say very disappointed?
