RUDE CASHIER She took our order. We got two meal options and pastries. when I got my receipt I realized she didn't give us the $0.99 pastries but charged full price. I asked why and she explained that because I got water I didn't qualify for the special treat price. I said "I wish I had known that because a drink added to my meal would have cost less than the full price pastries and I would have gotten a drink." She cut me off, rudely stating "have a nice day" and turned and quickly walked away. I followed her and stated that the correct answer is I"'m sorry". She said "well I'm not sorry, end of subject". My husband asked for the manager and she gladly retrieved her stating "somebody wants to see you because they didn't like the way I talked to them". The manager said all the right things being very apologetic and offering us free stuff which we did not accept because that's not why we were complaining. The rude cashier continued to work without concern. I believe that is why she was so bold and telling her manager that some customer had a problem with her. I believe this behavior has been demonstrated and tolerated before. I hope this store gains an understanding that their frontline workers are the face of their brand. Especially now when restaurants are struggling with everyone staying home, I expect my dining experience to be a pleasant one and I expect restaurants to realize my dollars can go in another restaurants cash register just as quickly, and will...
Read moreNew review. We have gone to Panera fairly frequently over the years. The food is good. Most items are on the WW app, which matters to me as a lifetime member, and several of them are low points (low cal, with protein and fiber).
HOWEVER, I think they are about to price themselves out of our budget. Went for lunch yesterday and it was over $32 for two of us; one full salad with fruit and a few slices of chicken, one u-pick-two with a smaller non-fruited chicken-y salad and half sandwich, and one iced coffee drink. That's waaay too much. My salad was good, but not $11 good; not that large, not that much chicken, and nothing outrageously fancy. That made my husband's u-pick-two and frappa-whatsits over $20! This is for a light meal that comes on a tray, you stand in line to order and have to pick up at the counter. And it's not like it's prime rib or seafood.
I didn't pay attention to the price when I ordered because we have been there before and it was not so bad. Only when the cashier announced the total due -- much to my shock -- did I look up at the menu board and see how expensive they had become. Seems like their prices have risen multiple times in the past year or two, while the portions have definitely shrunk, and this last time may...
Read moreThis location appears to be incapable of making an order correctly. Every single time I have ordered pick up or delivery from this location in the last month, they have made my order incorrectly. I am literally starting to believe whoever is making the sandwiches is illiterate. The other day, I ordered a turkey sandwich with no tomato or mayo. They gave me a turkey sandwich with tomato and mayo and without cheese. A couple weeks ago I ordered a veggie sandwich with no tomato or hummus and got two slices of bread with almost nothing inside it.
Today I used the app to order a Mediterranean Veggie sandwich without hummus or tomato, with extra feta and adding garlic aioli. Not the traditional sandwich, but reasonably modified. The receipt on my bag is correct. So I either got someone else's sandwich, or the person who made it cannot read, because what I got was a Med Veggie with no onions, no sweet peppers, and no feta, adding mayo and cheddar cheese. Those two things are so different I do not know how this even got put out.
The food quality is not good enough to justify the cost anyway, but especially if they cannot competently and reliably serve...
