Disappointing Experience with a Few Bright Spots
I recently bought a $1,500 TV from Best Buy, and while the initial purchase experience with one employee was excellent, the follow-up was a complete nightmare. The person who helped me pick out the TV was fantastic—knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely interested in making sure I got the right product. Honestly, they are the only reason I’m not giving this review a 1-star rating.
However, the rest of the experience was awful. Somehow, the TV was charged to the wrong card, and when I called to resolve the issue, I was told I needed to bring the TV back to the store. After lugging it out of my living room and back to the store, I was told I had to wait a few days just to buy it again on the correct card. To make matters worse, when I called for help, the staff on the phone were dismissive and rude. One lady outright refused to assist unless I came into the store, even though I offered to send someone on my behalf. I was even told the manager wouldn’t help me either.
The majority of the employees I interacted with were unhelpful and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. It was as if they were annoyed I dared to spend my money at their store. Honestly, 90% of the staff need to reevaluate their customer service skills. The remaining 10%, including the amazing guy who helped me pick out the TV, deserve all the credit for why I’ll even consider returning.

Read moreThe service is absolutely terrible. First, when I called in to check and see if the store even carries the item the auto phone system tells me to go online. Then it put me on hold for twenty minutes. I went to the store. I am disabled in various ways. The young man at the door asked me what I was there for. I explained I was looking for mobile video cameras like a GoPro. He said they didn't have any. I desperately needed a restroom and started to head that way. He told me I needed a mask. I explained I'm disabled and cannot wear a mask, but needed a restroom immediately. He said, "I don't care if you're disabled. You're going to wear a mask or you're going to leave." I reminded him that the ADA doesn't allow him to discriminate against me. He said no one gets in without a mask and that because they are a private business they are exempt. I told him they are not exempt and proceeded to head towards the restrooms. He got in front of me and threatened me while telling me all the restrooms are out of order. I asked to have the manager come over and he said he was the manager. I asked for his card and he said he didn't have any yet. I told him I wouldn't be back. I can look in my Quickbooks and tell you I have spent around $10,000 at Bestbuy in the last 18 months as I am an IT professional and purchase on behalf of my customers routinely. They took my ssn and other info, and able to activate my phone.. Suddenly they found some issue with bestbuy system and were not able to proceed. i was waiting, waiting for almost 4 hours in Store ALONG WITH my ONE YEAR KID.. and nothing turnaround.. SO they advised me to go to At&T store and buy this same deal with the account no.. I did the same and at&t person told that that account itself inactive... I was shocked..
I came home and called the bestbuy online customer service and asked about this deal. they mentioned me that "There is no such deals going on". then i asked that person to check bestbuy website.. Which he found contraductory and dont have any answers.. Deal says its end by 12/31/2015.. I dont understand why a company like bestbuy does like this..
This is an worst experience i had in my lifetime.. This makes me Not to do any business forever with you peoples and recommends all my friends and unknown person to tell "HOW BESTBUY CHEATS YOU"..
