This is an Indian restaurant. I know the name might throw you off a bit and you might think it's some kind of middle eastern food. I know I thought it was. We'll, it's Indian food, I can assure you that. I went there for lunch. It's a buffet style lunch but U believe you can order a la carte if you wanted to. But then again, why do that? The buffet will give you an opportunity to try everything in one visit. I tried all the chutneys, and salad. They're all pretty good. I liked the tabooleh style salad coz it didn't tadteike it had any dressing or salt which is perfect for those who are watching their sodium in take. They have plenty of vegetarian dishes and another area for meats which is a good choice for the carnivore in you. They had fresh cut fruits and a couple if sweet desserts. I tried the rice pudding and that was good. Overall, for food is 4. The long ation is in a busy shopping center so parking was tight. The decir was somewhat traditional. There were a couple of tv screens that kinda distracted me from my conversation. Most of the patrons were non-Indians to my surprise. And I'm guessing that's why the food was not as spicy as other Indian...
Read moreCame in during a low time, about 3pm on a Wednesday. Was greeted and sat promptly. I had just missed the lunch buffet which ended at 230, but the server was willing to still extend a lunch special. Ended up trying the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, jasmine rice, and samosas. It was a ton of food for a very reasonable price.
Most importantly, it was delicious. The saag had lots of flavor and was not greasy. The masala also had a nice flavor, with a healthy serving of chicken. Chicken was a touch on the dry side, but this was because it was all chicken breast, not dark meat. Garlic naan had a nice crunch on the bottom, doughey on top with a nice garlic flavor. Samosas were also tasty. Not greasy, not overly breaded, and a nicely spiced potato inside.
Overall very happy with my meal, if I worked or lived closer, I would be here much more...
Read moreA Groupon deal finally enticed me to bring the family in to try this out. It's a small place with seating for maybe 40. Not a lot of atmosphere, but clean, and the staff were reasonably attentive. We ordered 3 main dishes - chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken, and chicken biryani. It was all decent, but didn't wow us. Not a lot of meat in the tikka masala. The tandoori chicken was pretty good but a tad overdone. The biryani was rather lacking in visual appeal but tasted fine. Not the level of flavor I've found in the same dishes elsewhere. My diet coke was served in a bottle with a glass of ice (no refills, of course). Nothing bad, just nothing to make you eager to return. I'd consider going again only if craving Indian food and convenience/location were the...
