Cristy's Restaurant — Restaurant in Torrington

I gave this 2 stars because the food is usually pretty good but the service is mediocre most of the time there's a couple kids here that are pretty pleasant but hasn't been here in awhile and have no intention of doing so. The last 3 times I've been here I've been overcharged and orders have been wrong and even had a family member of the owner try to uncharged me on an order that was already on the menu saying we requested the food to be fried not grilled when we just specified to please make sure it was done correctly because previous time the same sandwich had been ordered per the menu but instead they grilled it and had an attitude when we said something so my daughter kept it and we ended up being charged for an upcharge for ordering it grilled when it was their screw up so this time we had reminded her to make sure that it was fried like the menu stated and then low and behold we were still up charge this time for requesting it to be fried instead of grilled go figure on top of that we each ended up being charged an extra $4 for waffle fries as a substitution to regular fries and then after we cashed out on my credit card and I received my receipt a couple days later I discovered on my bank statement that I was charged an additional $10 for a tip on top of the $5 that I left for at at when I contacted the restaurant I was told there was nothing they could do about it it was too late so I guess it's acceptable for people to add extra money onto customers checks sing how dishonest this place is I will not be returning wonder the place is going downhill not to mention the prices have also went up quite a bit. I had the misfortune of dining at Christy's Restaurant, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt off. he dim lighting and sparse decor didn’t create an intimate setting; instead, it felt like a rushed afterthought. The meal itself was a complete disaster; I expected something at least passable, if not exceptional. Unfortunately, the dish I ordered was bland, poorly cooked, and lacked any of the flavors that were promised. It was clear that little to no care went into its preparation. I've had better meals at fast-food joints for a fraction of the price. To make matters worse, the staff was completely unprofessional. The server was inattentive and seemed annoyed by simple requests, like getting a glass of water or asking about the menu. When I pointed out that my meal wasn’t right, they shrugged it off without offering any solutions or even an apology. In short, Christy's Restaurant was a complete letdown from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, unless you enjoy overpriced, tasteless food served in a dreary atmosphere by a staff that couldn’t care less. Save your money and your evening—go...

I have been coming to this place recently. The first time i had lunch. I ordered a salad and wasn't expecting much at all but when it was served I admit I was pleasantly surprised! The salad was served nicely on a square dish and in each corner there was a warm naan triangle! I personally love naan so this was a big plus.-- the second time we had breakfast. I ordered a Belgiun waffle and a Mimosa and I was quite pleased. It was the perfect serving size for me and the waffle had great flavor. -- my only disappointment/suggestion is that on the waffle w/ strawberry and cream, rather than using the sugared sweetened strawberries they should be fresh berries. No one likes soggy waffles especially a sugar sweet dessert esque soggy waffle for breakfast. - furthermore if you used fresh berries I personally would have shelled out the extra dough for virtually the same waffle. 🍓 Oh and I was VERY HAPPY to see Nicola working there during my late brunch.. she's a lovely Angel and I usually am only graced with her presence when I'm downtown shopping at Sally's Beauty...
