The food was fine. Not outstanding, not horrible. Just average. I'm am writing this review to describe our experience with the manager today. We had a party of 10, celebrating my brothers birthday. My partner and I arrived first and told them how many we were expected. The hostess sat us. A couple minutes later, an older man came to the table with an obviousll attitude asking when the rest of our party would be arriving. To which I answered any minute. He replied "just so that you know, we don't normally seat people unless their whole party is here and hopefully I won't have to ask you to move tables if it gets busy". Ummmm at first glance, there were about 20 open tables in the entire restaurant. Why he felt the need to tell us that and in that manner, I don't know. As our party begins to arrive, we ended up having 2 more than planned. He brings over two more chairs and again in disgust says "see this is why it's always smart to wait til the whole party is here". Part of our group says "we can sit at the table next to them". He responds "no that is a popular table" what??? So we aren't good enough for the popular table? What does that even mean. He was a sour looking man who clearly doesn't need to be managing in any capacity. I will make it my life's work (lol) to make sure that none of my friends or family frequent this restaurant solely based on our experience...
Read moreI was looking for a cozy, quiet and less expensive breakfast place with my parents this morning near our house. There are many options to choose from in our community, but I chose this restaurant because we had never visited it while living in Chesterfield these past twenty-five years.
While the food was above satisfactory, the service was not. I understand that a restaurant's environment becomes very hectic when there are multiple baby and bridal showers happening at the same time, but genuine establishments treat customers equally, and this establishment did not. Our waitress rushed our orders and our dining experience, not even asking if we liked our meals or if we wanted anything else. While the manager decided to greet all the other guests arriving, he did not greet my parents and me. We are from the Chesterfield/Town & Country community, and even if we were not, we should be just as valued as other customers. I'm sorry that the establishment had to bring race in as an issue, but my parents and I could tell that our presence was not valued at this restaurant. Needless to say, we will not...
Read moreI’ve lived in this area off and on many years and I’m glad I tried this restaurant. The restaurant is in between two parking lots. I ordered the Classic Combo for breakfast, two scrambled eggs, ham, and wheat toast. It comes with breakfast potatoes. When the plate arrived at my table it all looked delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly, which for me means they weren’t dried out from overcooking or a little runny from undercooking. The ham was 2 thin slices and lacking in taste that I expect. I ordered my wheat toast dry to minimize calories before using the blackberry jelly. The star of the dish were the breakfast potatoes. Perfect seasoning and perfect crispness. Way to go! Everything on my plate was warm or hot when it arrived so the kitchen was executing well. My server was excellent throughout my meal. The restaurant decor is plain jane but I have a new breakfast and lunch...
