I ordered via the app, and I wasn't sure exactly when I wanted my order to be ready, and got there a little early, but that's my fault. The crew seemed a little disorganized. I expected the same sort of communication as in the restaurant to let the cashier know that an order was ready to go, and for the cashier to be prioritizing getting hot food out the door as soon as it is done. The cashier left for a minute because someone applying for a job had a meeting with someone at the restaurant, and instead of calling over or sending them there, they walked the applicants over to the restaurant, leaving the front desk and phone totally unattended (the cook picked up the phone and out someone on hold the one time that the phone rang, so at least there was that...). Food was good, aside from the 2 broken drums that I got, which always taste a little funny to me, so I didn't eat them. Otherwise, the wings were great, and the roast beef sandwich was very good. I ordered it with au jus on the side to avoid a soggy roll, and that worked out great. Things were cold when I got home, because I live half an hour away, but when I warmed them up they were fine. If I lived nearby and could get home with hot food, I'm confident that it would taste better, but this was pretty good. Personally, I would much rather eat at the bar, but the take out is an alright option. Maybe we'll try...
Read moreThis was my first visit to Bar Bill. I did take-out on their wings and they were close to the worst wings I have ever had... Very very over cooked and flavorless. I did find out the next day that dine in and take out are different kitchens run by different staff. On my Birthday I love to get wings and this year I chose to get Bar Bill. They are quite expensive and I have heard nothing but good reviews so I decided to try them. Unfortunately it was a big bust... Bad enough that I doubt I will even give the dine in a try. If you are in the area just go to 187 Burger nextdoor. Or stop by the grocery store and buy Bar Bill sauce and make them...
Read moreAs someone out of town who wanted to do the tourist thing and eat buffalo wings in buffalo I was not dissapointed. I'm informed are just chicken wings here. Which makes sense because you don't call Mexican food Mexican food in Mexico you just call it food.
Having tried both anchor bars and these wings hand over fist I would go with bar bills over anchors. Both have their merits but these won out.
I reccomend calling in and taking to go. The bar is charming and has that old bar in New England vibe I love but it's always busy and you aren't missing much. It's all...
