(In my best Matthew McConaughey voice) Alright, alright, alright!!! So excited to finally get here with the wife after hearing such great things from friends.
We were in the area and got here right when they opened. The place ended up filling up quick too- most of the bar was filled by 430pm!
Very cool spot- not much of an interior decorator, but the wood inside & the lights and the fact it can be wide open on those awesome Buffalo summer days is a plus!
Beers on tap, but I’m not much of a beer guy. So I went with my usual of Jack and Coke. Bartender was a little heavier handed (which I also like! 😉)
Smaller food menu, which I like cuz after watching shows like Restaurant Impossible and Bar Rescue- it means they have a smaller focus and excel at what they offer.
Let me tell you- the food was EXCELLENT. We split shrimp tacos (which came w chips and a side of the street corn dip that I wanted to try!) delicious. And I feel like the jalapeños on top had a sugary- or pickled type taste at first and then was a nice lil spicy kick at the end. Street corn dip was also delicious.
Do yourself a favor and get a BEEF. ON. WECK. Legit- melt in your mouth deliciousness. So, so good. I would have to say that it’s better than a pretty well- known place that’s close by!
Finally- the wings! Got an order of Honey BBQ. And was NOT disappointed. 5 big drums and 5 big flats line a metal tray with blue cheese. Nice and crispy on the outside and juicy and delicious on the inside!!
Pissed I didn’t take any photos. But honestly, I was too excited to eat the food!!!
Go check this place out! And in the words of the Terminator-...
Read moreCalled The Saturday before Father’s Day to see if we needed reservations before we drove an hour and was told there would be plenty of seating inside and outside upon arrival at 12:15 there was numerous people one in a wheelchair outside sweating terribly that looked upset so we parked and went up to the door, realizing that they never opened without a word to anyone. If I had failed to call the day before, I would have taken some of the blame and we drove by two hours later after going somewhere else and they were still closed. Even left a voicemail expressing that I understand things happen to please call me and let me know what happened. Otherwise I would leave review because it is horrible business etiquette, where you think you can just let people waste $30 in fuel and two hours of their day without any notice . I’m glad your food is good like I’ve heard because your business etiquette is awful and the no call after a week is what...
Read moreWonderful new joint that was opened by former managers at Bar Bill, literally across the road from there.
It is in the old CiderWorks building.
The service in here is phenomenal. The Cajun wings are the best wings I’ve had. I’ve had a lot. They are presented on a tray with blue cheese etc. they came out quick, no more than 15 minutes after ordering at the bar.
The bar is busy. It’s got a great buzz to it. It’s bright in there, music is playing, people are happy. One of the managers was collecting glasses, next thing he’s coaxing us into more beers which he brings over. Then another round.
It’s become the go to place for my hockey team. Plus living around here I get to see so many friendly faces. My buddies were born and raised here and are constantly spotting old school friends.
The beer selection is excellent. Ellicotville brewing blueberry is my fave in the summer.
Try it, you won’t be...
