Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

I try to only leave positive reviews but for $80 and food that was low quality I have to give a fair an honest review. I ordered the appetizer sampler and the 3 quesadillas had 1 small piece of chicken each of them, and the quesadilla was soggy. I didn't even touch the wings either, and they gave a small sauce with that too barely any sauce. The chips he brought us were stale. The mozzarella sticks had oil dripping off of them and i didn't even touch the spinach dip. The sauces were so small you can only have some for a couple of chips. I saved myself a stomach ache and waited till dinner was served. They don't carry coke, only pepsi, a restaurant not carrying coke is like having a peanut butter and jelly without the peanut butter this don't make sense at all they don't carry coke. Then for dinner i had the "select" steak with broccoli and waffle fries. They up charge for waffle fries. The "select" steak was a piece of beef literally looked like it was slapped on the dish without any care as if they were rushing it, it looked like a ball of crap and it didn't smell good either, i ordered medium rare and they cooked it well. I didn't even bite it i just pushed it to the side. The waffle fries are hard to mess up i mean who can mess up fries so no comment about that. The broccoli was basically the only safe thing i ate which it was frozen but and i guess it was steamed so no taste, bland, no spices nothing, just frozen broccoli that was steamed and on to the plate. So i was safe with that and ate it. The "steak" was just slapped on a dish with the broccoli and they came out with my waffle fries 5 minutes after. I can tell the kitchen just rushes out orders instead of taking some pride and making food. I ordered a seltzer water and there was barely any carbonation. From the over oily appetizer with barely anything in the soggy quesadilla, to the small 1 oz sauce, the oily mozz sticks, steak that looked like a ball of crap and didn't smell good at all, and the way the plate looked like food was just carelessly slapped on, dirty bathroom, and a grand total of $80 with 1 more meal (a friend) - she didn't enjoy her meal as well, is definitely not worth $80. For a neighborhood grill, they really to take better care in how they prepare and serve their food, use better ingredients, stop serving old food and clean the bathroom because there was toilet paper all over the floor. If they can take better quality in their work and food then i will come back. But for now i wont give them my business. Thank you.

I also came here around 10 years ago and i remember there was a piece of chicken breast that was literally gray. (sign of spoilage, either been sitting out a while, or in the fridge for too long) I know they have their regular customers that really don't care but I don't agree with this lack of...

Music was way too loud near the bar booths, it was my 60th birthday, I kinda expected a free dessert and singing Hsppy 60!!! Our waiter was very nice Tom he was wonderful. No problems with him

But the restaurant was like a hangout, the music was too loud and everyone was loud, they could have lower the music. I had to take my 60th dessert home, I couldn't enjoy it there. I was so very unhappy and so was my husband, he walked out after I told Tom my birthday dessert is to go. That restaurant use to be alot than it is. We were sitting next to the loud music, couldn't speak with own husband. But we found out where bathrooms were was Quiet and comfortable. We cant understand why we couldn't sit there. Food was good, no complaints. The booth behind me was packed with 6 big guys hitting the back of seat, I am disabled and they were hurting me more. I wanted to say something, but I didnt too loud music.

This restaurant changed through out the years, we went as a family always, my son was killed prior to his 25th on July 4th, we were going to bring for birthday today, unfortunately hes no longer with us. He would have walked out too. Plus the waiters pants were below their butts, but they were wearing black boxer shorts. It was disgusting, unbelievable. I have written a review like this, i am so ashamed of the restaurant. We are not going there anymore. I told my husband we should have went to Outback a family restaurant no loud music, family oriented. It bothered me so much cuz it's my birthday today!!!!!!😭😭🙏🙏😭😭 Work on the waiters, the restaurant, but you lost a family who used to come for the past 20 years. My husband said we should gotten the free, or get the dessert free or get a coupon for 2 dinners. Thanks for ruining my only 60th birthday I will ever had. Your restaurant ruined it completely. I am telling my friends and family what happened and I bet, they won't be back. Your restaurant was disrespectful to us and other patrons. By the restaurant waiters waitresses, not professional, our waiter Tom was good to us. But instead of being a restaurant, it was a hangout feeling. Not a place to eat anymore, our food was good. The atmosphere was more loud music, unkempt waiters, and should have done something nice for women that turned 60 today, I don't look it. But I got No Happy Birthday saying from no one. We are Never ever going back...

Applebees, Lindenhurst 07/23/24 Met 6 friends for lunch

Someone picked Applebees, so off I went..

Of course, I ordered a hamburger.

They have 4 burgers to choose from, which had all kinds of cheeses, sauces, accoutrements, thisis, and thats.

None of which I needed, or wanted

Hamburger, medium rare, please toast the bun, hold the LTO, American cheese, extra crispy FFs, and Im happy

I was very impressed with the meat they used.. It had a bit of earthiness, that I enjoy, and a slightly salty taste.

The burger came out a near perfect medium rare, and as juicy as can be.

The bun to meat ratio was spot on, as one didnt overwhelm the other.

The structure of the meat led me to believe that it could possibly been hand formed, as it was juicy as any other that I've had.

The French Fries were as crispy as I asked for, and I enjoyed them.

Overall, this is a burger I would not hesitate to recommend. It's as good as a lot of the decent bar bugers out there, that have "reputations".

Im putting it in a Top 20 category, no kidding!

It's definitely not in the rarified Top Tier, or in a Top 10 category, but a respectable burger, nonetheless.

And you cant beat the price.

I had the burger, 1 Brooklyn Lager, and my bill was $18.75..

Their Lunch pricing is very attractive, with a $10.95 specials.

Others I ate with had a variety of food choices, and not one complained about their food.

The Service was good..They were a bit shorthanded, so it wasnt the fastest, but Kim, our Server did a good job keeping things going.

Parking is a breeze, as it's in a huge parking lot near King Kullen.

Again, I was surprised at the quality of the burger and will keep that in mind when Im looking for decent, reasonably priced burger.
