As someone who frequently explores Italian eateries in the area, I was looking forward to trying Bellagio, despite its somewhat dim exterior appearance.
Food: 2/5 The culinary experience was unfortunately disappointing. The salad arrived with wilted lettuce drowning in excessive dressing - a telling sign of kitchen oversight. The garnish was remarkably sparse, featuring just a lonely olive and a single cucumber slice. The pasta primavera, which should be a celebration of fresh vegetables, fell flat with overcooked vegetables and a surprisingly bland flavor profile. For an Italian restaurant, these fundamentals should be second nature. No digestion issues.
Service: 1/5 The service was notably problematic. Our waiter displayed a concerning lack of professionalism - neglecting to write down orders (leading to mistakes with the dressing which we asked for on the side) and showing complete indifference when issues were raised. The shoulder shrug response to concerns was particularly troubling, suggesting a deeper problem with service culture.
Ambiance: 2/5 The restaurant's atmosphere needs serious attention. The dimly lit interior (so dark it appears closed from outside) creates an unwelcoming first impression. The constant hum of refrigeration equipment dominates the dining space, and the sight of tape-patched seats speaks to neglected maintenance. This doesn't create the warm, inviting atmosphere one expects from an Italian restaurant.
Cleanliness: 3/5 Cleanliness issues were evident throughout, particularly in the restroom facilities. While not severely unhygienic, the overall cleanliness standard falls below what diners should expect.
Parking/Accessibility: 5/5 The one bright spot - ample parking in a spacious lot makes access very convenient.
Value: 2/5 At $55 for two entrees and water, the price point isn't excessive, but the poor execution and quality make this a poor value proposition. When paying for an Italian dining experience, one expects at least competent execution of basics like salad preparation and pasta.
Overall: 2/5 With so many Italian dining options in the area, there's unfortunately no compelling reason to return to Bellagio. The combination of uninspired food preparation, poor service attitude, and maintenance issues suggests fundamental problems that need addressing. While the parking is convenient, it's not enough to overcome the significant shortcomings in core restaurant operations.
My recommendation would be to explore other local Italian options where both the cuisine and service meet basic...
Read moreMy husband and I went here for a date night, it looks really beautiful from the outside. We loved the esthetic. I gave this half stars because it wasn’t all horrible but it definitely wasn’t fantastic. First I’ll talk about the things I liked. The live music definitely was nice, I’ve never eaten with live music but it made dinner fun. My soup was GREAT. Chicken and rice. I loved it! Staff(that we were able to get a hold of) helped us out with the tiki torch that was close by, very thankful! The overall look of the area makes it feel nicer.
Things I didn’t like.”: We never got another round of drinks, no one stopped by to check on us for refills but once for water in the beginning. Especially for outdoor dining when it is humid, I would hope to have gotten more to drink lol. The we had 2 different waitresses bounce back and forth... then a period of about 30-45 minutes where we didn’t see either of them. It was really weird and At that point I was just tired of waiting. The bugs!!! We were a walk in so we had to wait for all reserved people to go first(which they skipped us once with someone who walked in after us, however my husband and I aren’t TOO impatient) we waited about 15-20 minutes with gnats flying all over us, and I’m talking I found some in my bra!, we were getting bitten too by bugs but they weren’t mosquitos. This lasted until we got the tiki torch lit near our table. I’m pregnant, so I didn’t enjoy all of my meal too much(which was filet🤦🏼♀️) but that’s a personal taste bud issue, HOWEVER the bread was over toasted tasting a little burnt and did shred my husbands roof of his mouth.
It’s not all bad, I would definitely try again on a less busy day. However this experience wasn’t a good first time. Made for great conversation over dinner...
Read moreI do love the food, but the business model is absolutely rediculous as I watched all of my fellow customers in the busy pizzeria be as confused as me. Why in the world should customers have to run back and forth between two cash registers in a narrow walk way, in order to order different items!? If there are 10 employees in the back why can't one take the time to bring ALL the food to the register the paying customer is waiting at. I tried to order a slice of pizza i didnt even need heated at the front but since I also wanted a rice ball which also didnt need to be heated i was told i had to order in the back and can order the slicbe back there too. So i did and i. Paid and then had to wait (for two things i didnt even need heated) then after 15 mins they finally give me a bag and say goodnight. Luckily i checked when i got in the car only to discover the slice wasnt even in there. They couldnt even put it in the bag after making me wait 15 mins for unheated food.... why?? So I had to lug my 2 year old all the way back in to have them tell me get the slice up front -_- Its rediculous, confusing, unorganized, and unprofessional....between all the customers running back and forth bumping into eachother with full hands collecting bits and pieces of their order its a circus in there! get it together! ....with all that staff it shouldnt be too hard to throw 2 precooked unheated items into 1 bag at the sametime n bring it to 1 register in under 5 mins..... or at least direct the customer to pick up their slice up front in stead of sending them off with half am...
