Changing Times is the perfect place to go to on any day (and it stays open late) but the atmosphere on game days is like walking into a party; crowded with the sound of laughter & yells of a bad game call. During the week, it's quieter but always welcoming. The servers are quick to take and serve your order. They are attentive when you need them without being a nuisance, and if you have a problem, they will do all they can to fix it to your satisfaction. The menu has a number of enticing choices; those we know & love (amazing burgers, sweet potato fries, wings), as well as delicious beer cheese soup, thinly sliced reuben sandwiches (my fav), unique salads, calamari, quesadillas, and many others, including a Sunday brunch. but it's not as good as it used to be years ago. Pricing is average unless you're a big drinker, and if you like to have a few, there is a huge variety of craft beers and drink specials to choose from. There are over 60 HDTV's live streaming games, with several outside for warmer weather on the patio. And keep your ears open for when a live band is playing on a Friday night! I miss the pool tables and dart boards from way back. Changing Times Pub has been around for over 30 years and is well known on (& off of) LI. It's comforting to know that out of the very few enjoyable places left that we grew up with, this one is still here. Take a trip back in time to when the world was simpler; stop in to see old friends and meet new ones of all ages.

Classic establishment! Check my previous reviews, all positive, any place around this long is always good to visit. The atmosphere is casual and inviting. The servers are experienced, pleasant and very efficient. The food is a step above the typical bar stuff, lots of choices, and some unique and some old favorites. Example : chicken cordon blue bites w/ gravy, French Dip, steak tidbits, German Pretzel, all make Changing Times One of our frequent stops! Oh the Southern Tier pumpkin beer with the rim coated in cinnamon sugar is just great at this time of the year! You'll have to let me know what you think?

Not from out there, a gf co worker said this place has amazing wings and when I hear wings I think fried pickles too... my Boss (separate company) says the same we said screw sushi let’s go for it!

The host... very polite let’s us sit wherever.

Server? Sheeeshhhh talk about miserable. Eating dinner right in front of us, texting.... flirting with guys and didn’t even bring the drinks the food napkins... just an extra sauce and she was annoyed doing that. Need to say couldn’t even make eye contact with me but my gf she just looked at when I’m the one being polite thanks.

The pickles ... disappointed.... oil is old so the pickles came out burned the batter didn’t even stay on the pickles but clumped together. they were old pickles? Rubbery? Very odd & sad to say Buffalo Wild Wings fried pickles are better.

Wings were pretty good. Small for on the bone bur pretty well- I wanted grilled gf wanted friend but hey still would go back for the wings but sitting at the bar.

Tip? Ha! She was beyond lucky to get one; only tipped because the bus guys were doing there job and bartender got my drink out in a timely fashion..... I wanted to write for tip; looose the attitude and “rbf” you would have got a huge tip.... I used to be in the same field and currently going for a shopper certificate.

Disgusting staff can eat in on the dining floor with customers & be all over that dirty phone. She should Of just joined our table we were that close to one another.

Experience: 5/9 @8ish pm.

Go for the bar if you go and get...

I have been using google reviews for several years and I swore I would never leave a bad review. But now I’m sitting in the parking lot of the changing times pub dumbfounded why I even paid my bill.

I came in for grilled wings, ordered them from the bartender, who clearly forgot my order, after 40 minutes and two other bar guests served the same platter of wings I ordered myself I asked if he forgot about me. He lied, rushed into kitchen, more time went by and I was served an incorrect order, I requested the missing sauce. Another 5 or so minutes go by and I was forgotten about again. Note there are about 5-6 people sitting in this bar. I ate my dry wings, eventually received the missing sauce and washed them down with a water glass that was probably more bar soap than water and looked to pay my bill. This incredibly talented bartender was out front smoking a cigarette and had to be summoned by me so I could be freed from this nightmare of a meal.

I worked in the service industry for many, many years, and I am always quick to understand if someone is having a bad night or made a simple mistake. That is not the case here, whoever is bartending should look for another career and quickly because he does not have what it takes to handle 5 people on a quiet Sunday night.

The people of this town work hard and deserve a higher standard of service. Changing times is a disgrace and the entire staff should be ashamed...
