ONE OF THE BEST BURGERS I HAD IN A LONG TIME Have been to quite a few Chili’s before, but this one has to be the best one so far! We stopped in after shopping at Walmart for car tires (The best prices) and were seated right away. This place was nice, clean, comfortable, sports on the TV’s, people eating, drinking, etc. OUR WAITRESS SOFIA One of the most amazing waitresses I have seen in a long time. Confident, vibrant positive smile, paid attention to detail and explained everything thoroughly! Not only did she serve us, but she was also serving others, cleaning tables, making drinks and doing checks! Doing all this and still being very attentive to anything we needed, damn, amazing! SHE SHOULD BE THE GM!!! People like this are rare – Thank you for serving us. THE FOOD Appetizer: “Nachos and Salsa” It was pretty good, very generous portion and they fill it when you finish, nice! Lunch: I’m a large, muscular man weighing 240lbs, I was hungry. Our waitress recommended “The Double Old Timer with Cheese and fries”. She even told me I can make it a triple, but in my mind, it’s not a burger at triple, it’s just turns to sloppy joe on your plate, so I got the double (and a diet coke, lol). I wanted to taste everything that makes a burger a burger. THE DOUBLE OLD TIMER WITH CHEESE AND FRIES No cheap thin patties here, this thing was a big ugly monster, only a true hamburger expert would appreciate what’s happening here – The smell alone was intoxicating, what would enter your mind when you think of a delicious juicy burger! Slanted slightly toasted Brioche bun to expose the juicy patties with that amazingly slightly charred look, cheese melted just right, with that little bit of drip falling off the patty, so juicy, it slightly moistened the bottom bun! I didn’t think I could finish it, or even fit it in my mouth, but after that first bite, it was all over for that “Old Timer”. This has to be, one of the tastiest, best burgers I hav had in a very long time!!! (picture below) NO GUILT HERE BABY “Double Old Timer with Cheese”, fries (delicious), 2 servings of nachos gone!!! Man, I was very happy! Our waitress asked if I wanted another one, and then smiled “I know your just kidding!” Sofia even gave me some nachos to go with extra sala, how could you beat this place? The service, the food, the friendly, comfortable ambiance. If I lived in this area, this would be my “go...
Read moreWe moved our birthday party group from The Main Event to the Chili's down the road in Farmingdale, and we were much happier for it! The Main Event was loud and noisy on this particular Sunday afternoon. There was no main sporting events going on. We had a group of 22 and found an open section of the bar at Chili's where we could congregate and celebrate. We were assigned a dedicated waitress who did a very good job of satisfying our group and keeping up with orders and drinks. What's cool at Chili's is that there were twofer tap beer deals and twofer $25 menu deals with apps & dessert included. I had the Sam Adams seasonal which I believe was called cold snap or something like that. It was delicious! I prefer flavorful full bodied ales and this hit the mark! For the twofer $25 deal we went with the guac and chips app and the chicken fajita and quesadilla entrees (you get 2 entrees) and the baked cookie dessert. The quesadillas were very good and their fajitas are definitely a go to entree when you looking for something on the healthier side. They do a great job with the fajitas as well! On the other hand the baked cookie a-la-mode is definitely awesome, but way off the charts on the health spectrum... LOL. Overall they kept our group happy. It's not our first time using Chili's for big parties. So we would definitely do this again. I wish I could remember the waitress' name because she did a...
Read moreBeen eating here for years. Last night's to-go dinner was atrocious! The chips & salsa was inedible because the chips had a smell and taste as if a rubber glove or utensil had been melted into the oil and they just kept using it. Either that or the oil was extremely old. I have never had an order of their chips & salsa that smelled or tasted like that. The steak, ordered medium, came out well-well done. No pink and very tough to cut and chew contrary to the steaks we usually get which are super tender and juicy. The small cup of salad that came with the "three-for" dinner was a soggy, wilted, rotting cup of slimy tomato & cucumber with lettuce that was both old and slimy. Right in the garbage with that. The other sides were good though... ie. corn on the cob and onion petals. This meal overall was a definite miss though. Not at all representative of the meals we usually take home from there. I'm really hoping that I don't get sick off those chips because they had a really bad burnt chemical smell and taste to them. I would be interested to know if any other patrons brought up any concern about the chips last night as well.
Follow-up... While my order did not meet my expectations, Chili's was very generous to offer a replacement for the poorly prepared items...
