RUN from this place the owner is a complete low life and scam artist. He's incredibly disorganized and I have no clue how he runs any sort of business.

I have had many parties there throughout the years (birthdays, holidays etc I come from a big family) we went to book our engagement party and were quoted $2500 for 50 people including all the things for a buffet. We shopped around at a few places but we are big into Italian food so I figured let’s go with them. We sat down with the owner who was just all over the page. Tried numerous times to get in touch with him leading up to the party and he would never be around or get on the phone and say let me look at my notes and hang up.

He finally calls for the finalization of the party and wouldn’t speak to my fiancée only me which this is a party for both of us. He starts rushing going through the menu and wouldn’t allow for little things(2 chicken dishes) which okay no big deal. I ask okay what’s the total coast - because we have written down $2500 after booking and speaking in person and he goes $4600 … that’s a huge difference. One thing that didn’t sit well was when I asked what forms of payment do you take he said cash or certified check but the check was going to have to made out to a construction company….. which did not sit right with us at all.

No desserts included, which like this is an engagement party so I understand however you can’t provide me with some type of pastry or cake ? Basic beer and wine will run you an extra $25 a head PER PERSON.

Charges $30 per child and was not offering any kind of food for kids. Our party was going to be in the evening (7:30p-11:30p). I of course have decorations and wanted to set up the room and tables etc. wouldn’t let me in until 45 minutes before the party started.

We ended up canceling - we asked for our deposit back ($200) and refused to do it. Yelling on the phone to us. And this all just happened this past Saturday while our party is THIS weekend.

I suggest obtaining a written contract with this guy if you're booking a private party with him because he’ll tell you one thing and...

I went to this restaurant 2x in my life. The first time my experience was awful. I had ordered an osso bucco, which read great on the menu, except when it came to me it tasted like fish. Turns out, they cooked fish in the sauce and then reused that sauce on my meal. Revolting. That was years ago and I’ve been avoiding this place ever since. Tonight I went with my family for a birthday (not mine or my households obviously) with the optimistic approach that it had to have improved since then. NOPE. I ordered a linguini carbonara... which was so bland and just obviously tossed in an Alfredo type sauce (watered down as well) with some onions and prosciutto dumped on top. It had ZERO flavor and honestly looked like i was eating a meal that had just heavy cream on it. I even added two healthy doses of salt & pepper to help and still... flavorless gunk sat on my plate. I had about 4 fork fulls and called it quits because I could feel my stomach protesting - and the pasta wasn’t even al dente. My fiancé had the penne with sausage and eggplant. It was riddled with oil, eggplant was mushy and again, somehow still bland even though this was a red sauce instead of like my order a cream based sauce. I honestly don’t even know how this place has managed to stay in business. I make better Italian food at home, and other local places like Francescos, Mannino’s....etc. far out do this place.

The servers and staff were all very nice, but this is 100% a kitchen problem. They need a real chef to make these recipes and items come to life. The lack of flavor here is enough to make you believe you might even have that as a covid symptom. I stopped at another restaurant on the way home since my meal was a complete waste of money & food and was able to get a delicious meal to bring home. Annoyed I spent the money for such...

Where to begin.... We got seated in a corner which was fine and asked for 2 diet coke but only got 1. No biggie asked for the second one again and I should have just drank water as it did not taste anything like diet coke. Order calamari and baked clams as appetizers and they only brought out the clams which were actually the highlight of the experience. As we were in the corner the service was not that great where we had to wait to ask about our second appetizer which they also forgot about. By that time you would think the food would have been ready to bring out but no , a long delay between the first app then the second app and then our dinner. My daughter ordered a chicken Caesar salad that she did say was good. My other daughter ordered linguini with clams which were not good and it was tasteless. Now for me I love trying different places for one of my go to dishes which is the seafood fra diavalo. Frutti de mare. This was the absolute worst serving of seafood fra diavalo I'd ever had. It was that bad. Tasteless, no flavor, no garlic, bland, and the pasta was stuck together straight like they didn't put oil or stirred it while cooking. As we are still waiting for refills on the water bottle that we ordered we decided to call it quits on the food pay the bill and put this first and last time experience behind us. As we ordered the bigger portions , family style, there were plenty of left overs of which they asked us if we wanted it to go. We kindly declined regrettably paid the bill and left full of disappointment. On a positive note there is a little pizzeria Giovanni's of West Babylon that does make a mean seafood...

First I'd like to say I've dined, ordered and catered from this place for the past 9 years. There's only been a few times where I could say they've had an off day. Overall the good typically outweighed the bad. Unfortunately last night I was there with a party of 13 and no one could get past the bad. From the reservations to the service there were complaints. My assumption is they were short staffed and they possibly had a dinner rush, but some transparency would go a long way. After our meals were put on the table there was no one to be found ,no follow-up to make sure everything was correct or ask if anything was needed..nothing. Took about 10 minutes of waiting until we had to search for someone to get us parmessean cheese. I found a fruit fly in my wine and I didnt notice until it was too late. Didnt want to make a big deal so I asked for another. That second glass never came. Mentioned it to the waiter later which he was apologetic about not getting the second wine, but basically laughed about the fruit fly and walked away. Clearly he had a lot going on so I get it..kinda. Also not sure why the owner avoided us at all costs, but it was extremely noticeable. Hospitality is what always brought us back there. Not sure what happened last night.

La Famiglia is an excellent spot for authentic Italian food. Everything is made fresh to order, and every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The portions are large and served family style, making it a great choice for sharing. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the manager went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. Drinks and coffee were also great and paired nicely with the meal. Located right on Main Street in Babylon, it’s in a convenient spot with a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re looking for fresh, flavorful Italian food served with warm hospitality.

I celebrated my Uncle's 80th birthday here recently in their party room. The service was exceptional! The food was awesome and there was plenty of free parking. Some items from the fixed menu were served family style which I feel promotes togetherness and socialization. It's not a huge place, yet is organized in such a way to maximize seating without compromising comfort. My cousins visit here often since they live locally and say they will continue to frequent this great Italian restaurant!
