So disappointed. Parents beware! My husband and I were refused service on Saturday January 8, 2021 because we had our child with us. We put our name on the wait list and moved two feet to the right of the host stand to wait. There is no clear boundary between the bar area and the waiting area in this restaurant. The only other available space was next to the door (it was 17 degrees out) and about 2 square feet in the front corner. We had our stroller with us and so next to the door wasn’t appropriate and neither was the corner. I went to order a seltzer with cranberry and beer for my husband while we waited. The bartender said he “can’t serve you here with a stroller”. I asked “you can’t serve us because we’re parents? Is this New York State law or is this restaurant policy?”. He replied “yeah” and shrugged. A regular customer then got involved in our conversation. She said “I’m a lawyer and it IS a law” as she pushed past us to get a spot at the bar. The bartender did not correct her and he again led us to believe he was following NYS law. There is no law stating that an adult with a child present cannot be served an alcoholic beverage. Not that it is anyone’s business but I was not even having an alcoholic drink. Long story short- I tried numerous times to reach out to the restaurant on social media and they refused to respond. They went as far as deleting a comment I left under a photo they posted. As a new parent, this entire experience was jarring. Our money was just as good as anyone else’s in the establishment and we were discriminated against because we had our child in a stroller with us. I understand if it was an issue of not allowing strollers in the area because of foot traffic or fire safety but it was never made clear that that was the reason we were refused service. Argyle Grill is not a restaurant that supports parents or children in strollers. I have never left a review like this before but because the restaurant has blatantly ignored me and refused to address the situation, I felt it imperative to share...

I had dinner at Argyle Grill & Tavern last night and I can confidently say this place exceeds expectations. From the moment we walked in, the experience was seamless. Although it was busy, we were seated right away, and the staff was incredibly accommodating when we requested a quieter table in the back once one became available.

The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance, lively and social near the bar in the front, with a more intimate dining area in the back for a relaxed meal.

We started with cocktails and they were 10/10 not only delicious but beautifully presented. For appetizers, we went with the tuna rice cakes (highly recommend!), the French onion soup, and were lucky enough to get a taste of the lobster bisque. The owner personally brought it out for us to try, and let me tell you… I’ll be ordering a full bowl next time. It was creamy, buttery, and bursting with flavor, pure comfort in a cup.

We also split a Caesar salad, which came perfectly chopped and lightly dressed, exactly how I like it. For entrees, we had the sea bass, the Gorgonzola strip steak, and the spicy stuffed rigatoni. Every dish was packed with flavor, plated beautifully, and cooked to perfection. We couldn’t help but share bites from each other’s plates because everything was that good.

From service to presentation, everything was top-notch. The menu is so well thought out, it’s honestly hard to choose so I’ll definitely be back to try more! The price reflects the quality, and in my opinion, it’s worth every penny.

Hands down the best dining experience in Babylon Village. You won’t be disappointed. They truly know what...

My husband and I came here for his birthday dinner. The hostess was so friendly and pleasant. Something we unfortunately have not experienced lately and it is definitely an important detail that plays a part in setting the tone for a dining experience. When we were seated, the waiter was prompt with introducing himself and getting drink orders. Throughout the night, he was attentive, prompt and so sweet. I had a Watermelon martini. There's was a little issue with the drink but very happy to say it was taken care of immediately. We had the calamari, Brie stuffed pretzel, skirt steak and stuff salmon. Everything was delicious. The one issue that I did have was that when we went to pay the bill with my Citibank card, the waiter returned and said that there is an issue with their machine so they can't take the card. When I questioned this, he said this has been happening for a few years where their machine doesn't process the Citibank cards. I was surprised to hear this because if it has been an issue that can't be resolved, something should be posted and patrons should be notified. I have worked in the restaurant business and have never heard of an issue like this lasting for years without it being resolved. My thought was though, what about patrons that all they have are citibank cards to pay without the option of getting cash. They would have dined and would be unable to pay? Overall we had a nice dining experience and will visit again but I hope the Citi issue can be...

When you order a $65.00 Aged Bone-In Ribeye steak from a restaurant, you expect it to arrive at the table whole, so that you can decipher where the “Ribeye Cap” is. Also it just makes for a better presentation. The fact that this meal was going to be shared, was the excuse we got that it was cut up into pieces and arbitrarily distributed on our two plates. The steak was tough and chewy, and did not melt in your mouth as a Ribeye should. Although the staff offered to replace it, my feeling was… If they got an aged steak this bad the first time, I didn’t want to wait twice as long for a guess. The “manager” then offered us a second round of drinks, which we did not want. If they wanted to accommodate us, they should have either discounted the price of the steak, or removed the cost of our first round of drinks, but that wasn’t done. I paid, and walked out in disgust for this place. They did not do the right thing, and worse off, should not be offering $65.00 Aged Ribeye Steaks if they don’t know how to prepare it.

Wife and I had some LFG gift cards from the Holidays and chose to try the Argyle. We’ve been to Opus and insignia and the Argyle is the LFG version of that type of steak house. We were very surprised and pleased with the entire evening. Food was awesome and atmosphere was great. Our waitress Holly was attentive and kind and the staff continually kept our table clean and free from finished glasses and plates. My wife had a filet mignon and I had the Parmesan encrusted bone in ribeye. Steak was perfectly cooked and one of the best we’ve had in a while. Strongly suggest trying the Mac and cheese as the noodle they use is really unique. Also had the French onion soup and it was one of the best I have had. Looking forward to coming back again!
