Mamey Mexican Taqueria — Restaurant in Town of Babylon

Came in today an ordered 3 tacos , Chicken Chorizo and Steak. The Empanadas I ordered Came 2 to an order and were chicken with cheese. My bill came to over $20.00 which I did not mind but empanadas alone were nearly 8 dollars which is way over priced for the portion. The chicken Empanadas were probably the most tasteless chicken Empanadas I have ever eaten or tried to eat in my life absolutely no flavor. The steak taco was yummy but now again the chicken inside the chicken taco no flavor and chorizo also very bland. The woman at counter was very nice and professional but I can saw I do not see my self returning to this place for any time soon. Just did not taste like the authentic Mexican taco I expected. Well of course everyone has their tastes and opinions, and we are sorry to report that we were sooooo disappointed. The food was mediocre at best. Very little flavor in the taco ground beef. My wife's chimichanga was virtually all rice (see photo), and little flavor. I ordered chicken fingers and yellow rice for our daughter and got french fries. When I said that I asked for yellow rice I was told, "you asked for french fries and yellow rice will be extra". Not wise to contend with a customer, especially when his wife said, "he did ask for yellow rice". So....I would not recommend this place at all given the poor quality of food and the service. Terrible service and bad food. When we left with our food the paper bag they had put it in immediately exploded and everything fell all over the floor (food, napkins, utensils). The aluminum food containers were too hot to hold, and we were catching a train, so we ran inside and asked for another bag and plastic utensils. The staff insisted that we had to pay for a trash quality paper bag and flimsy plastic forks. We insisted they just give them to us and they finally gave us a this plastic bag and two forks (refused to give us knives because they said we were “asking for too much”). Horrible, cheap, rude...
