I picked up to go so the atmosphere gets give bc I didn't experience it. The front desk kid was good taking the order. I spent over 75 bucks for two dinners and 2 desserts. Not a bad price for a better quality dinner and dessert. But this place l was (60%bad-40%edible). I ordered the mango jalapeno ribs and chicken/steak fajitas combo. And apple empanada and churro desserts. The churro dessert was comped from last time I came the here bc my ice cream was forgotten. Let me start off with the positive the ribs were fantastic and the churros were pretty decent. I did love the way you stored the carmel and chocolate sauce in the snap top ramican. Now the ugly. The steak was chewy okay taste but not easy to eat. The chicken was chewy and inedible. However my dog got to reap the benefit of that, since I didn't want the food to go to waste. The guacamole that came with the fajitas was extremely salty and the way the rice and beans were stored together in what seemed like a soup or chili container was not appreciated as it was completely mixed, seems like an after thought. Also the apple empanada was so over spiced you could only taste the spice. The insides of it was, for lack of a better word gross. The actual pastry part was good and I ate that with the vanilla...
Read moreI was pretty impressed with Del Fuego. I didn't sit at the bar but with the way they had the COVID protection laid out at the bar, I would feel comfortable sitting there. They actually made the same provisions at the booth tables. We felt very protected. With that said, no matter where you sit, the drinks are the bomb!
Service at the table was phenomenal. I'm the type of patron who likes to be left alone. I want to settle in, I want to decide on a drink, perhaps an appetizer, and when I need the server I will call them. They respected that. At the same time, they were always nearby when I needed them. The servers were upbeat, friendly, relaxed, and always professional.
The food was good. We didn't order anything that was out of the ordinary. Hard shell ground beef tacos and it was good. The salsa and chips that they give you when you sit down was phenomenal. I do think that they should warn you it's made with beans. My friend has a hard time processing beans but didn't realize it was beans until it was too late. She thought it was delicious anyway.
We drove an hour and a half from NYC to eat there and it did not disappoint. We...
Read moreThis place is really great. Once you walk in you feel at home, it's so comfortable. The atmosphere definitely leaves you with a good impression. Once your seated, they serve you the best salsa you'll ever have in your life! We like to get a gauc for the table to pair with the salsa.. we love a pitcher of the sangria or margs! As for food, we've tried alot from the menu and enjoyed it. A couple of worthy mentions. Steak or shrimp Tacos Brisket burrito (my husband's go to) Shrimp and sausage Flautas(My personal favorite) Honey Chipotle wings!! Fajitas Enchiladas (Brisket) they have something for everyone on the menu. One thing I didn't care for was the Quesadilla, unfortunately. It just wasn't my style. I ordered a classic chicken and cheese and felt the chicken wasn't chopped enough. I prefer more of a shredded chicken and a flater Quesadillas. Where this one was very chuncky and gapped it felt like you were missing cheese and got huge mouth fulls of chicken.. just wasn't for me personally. But you may like that. This is just my take on it. But overall this place is great and I would recommend it to my...
