McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Big Flats

To be honest: I have had so many issues with this specific McDonald’s that if you are local to the area or not I recommend driving the extra 5-10 mins to a different location in Corning or Elmira, The staffing at this McDonald’s are some of the rudest staff I ever encountered for no reason, On top of the fact they fail to follow instructions. For example: me and my husband ordered coffees for breakfast both of us request specific amounts of cream and sugar my husband even reiterates how he literally wants his iced coffee white to make sure he gets his coffee how he would like it, And we are both given two basic coffees without the extra cream and sugar we asked for. Our orders were also placed differently one being a mobile order and one being directly through the drive through and that tells me it’s due to the staff not paying attention or ignoring the request, my husband even mentioned this at the window and how he specifically asked for his coffee a certain way and the staff member at the drive through did and said NOTHING, not to remake it not an apology nothing. I would not be leaving this review if I hadn’t had so many issues with my orders being wrong/ staff being rude here or my food being gross a lot. This is the worst McDonald’s in the Elmira Corning area, not sure if anyone else noticed but this location is also the most expensive, $1-2 up charges for rude staff and incorrect food. I also have filled out a number of surveys and spoken with their manager a few times who is really nice and does her best to correct the issues but the rest of the staff and even the other managers are rude...

On today's date I took my son the McDonald's on Chambers rd south in the town of big flats against my better judgement. I have had several issues in that past with orders being incorrect , poorly made food etc . My son wanted to give them another try. There were 2 cars ahead of me in the drive thru not busy at all . I paid $45 for my food to take home . When I went to the second window to retrieve my order . I was greeted with "what did you order we lost your ticket/ order ". I told her three times what we ordered . I was told to go park in spot #2 and they would bring the food out. The bags were brought out to me . I looked in the bags not only was the order incorrect a cheeseburger was just thrown in the bag not even in a wrapper. I asked the McDonald's employee if this was acceptable. He replied I was just was told to bring you this . So I brought the food inside and waited another 15 minutes for the rest of my order ,no apologies from anyone . Very sad the lack of pride and or customer service. I will never set foot in this McDonald's ever again . You would think with the amount of negative reviews this McDonald's has received that maybe some changes...

I went through the drive through on April 7, 2022. The young woman managing the order/payment window was very curt and cut me off 3 times as I tried to place my order. She wasn't able to give me a total until I got to the window itself. I gave her cash which she took while talking with another employee. I gave her a 10 and 4 ones with change. I didn't request a receipt or change. When I drove up to the second window to pick up my order, I was told that I was short by $10! I knew I had given the right amount as I counted it three times AND that was the whole amount of cash I had with me. When I questioned this, I was told that they would have to count down the drawer and that I had to wait until they were done serving all the cars behind me to do it. I was left without my order and without my money. To make matters worse, I wasn't able to talk with a manager when I got back to work as the phone number is not in service.
