Da Hang Kitchen — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I have enjoyed their food for quite a while but I must say their food is no longer up to par. I’ve noticed for quite sometime that they have cutdown quite a bit on the amount of pork that they put in their fried rice. It’s gotten to the point that if I’m not the first person in my household to take my portion, somebody else will take the pork for their serving. They use to be very generous and I guess they figured they’d save money using less but that just make their food not as desirable. Also their chicken in dishes such as sesame chicken or General Tso’s has been very dry and stringy, I just can’t swallow it anymore. This seems to be a common problem with takeout Chinese food. I hope they fix these issues. As of now I switched to another takeout which is further away and will give them another try in the future to see if they read my review. If they don’t, then I’ll be finished with them and give my recommendations to my friends...

Not good. The garlic sauce in my chicken dish was 90% vegetable oil. Which is not great for health as seed oils are terrible for you. It was swimming in oil filled to the top of the container. So much so, it leaked inside the bag. This was not sauce but flavored oil. I could smell the oil just holding the bag. The food was saturated with oil. I had to dump it out. I do not complain, but I no longer can order from this place. As a side note, their General Tso's food is your typical reheated commissary type bland mass produced chicken. The kind made in factories and shipped in to them premade. Not home cooked at all. What a disappointment. Too bad JJ Dynasty closed up. They made great homemade food on-site from scratch. I hate mass produced imitation Chinese food to cut corners. Oh well. On to find...
