LaBamba Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

Went to La Bamba for the first time with my son and his girlfriend and we were all totally dissatisfied and disappointed. From non existent service to cold food and cold queso out of a can for $7 the whole experience was pathetic. Sat for 15 minutes before I asked for water for the table as no waitstaff asked if we wanted to order or needed drinks. We ordered appetizers and after waiting for 45 minutes I called a waiter over and told him that if our food did not come out soon we were going to get up and walk out. It was only then that after 15 more minutes our appetizers came out with ice cold queso. Total disappointment. The entrees were no better. What a horrible experience waited 45 minutes (it was not busy) and for 2 burritos, a salad and a bowl of vegetarian chili, when it came out the salad had sour cream on it in which the description did not say anything about dairy on it. I had asked the waitress specifically if there was any dairy or meat in the chili or salad and she had said no I then said just forget it. I will take the chili. When the chili came out it had meat in it. The other two at this point were almost done eating and I had nothing to eat. so much for a nice family night out. We had to make a later movie in which they went to while I am eating dinner...

Matt, absolutely fantastic attention to all of your customers. I watched you go from table to table, asking to fill water glasses, how was the food, anything else I can get for you, etc…. Matt, you were on top of it tonight.

Service was absolutely on point with a smile. Obviously Matt was terrific! Food was delicious, hot, and well prepared. Had on small comment and it was received pleasantly while being receptive and apologetic (not required). Desert was delivered quick.

Prices were good. Definite must try, recommend. We will return and update review if changed....
