2nd time I had a bad experience in a row.
1st time - I arrived an hour early from closing time and they were already cleaning the grill and said no lamb was available because they already cleaned the grill. An hour early? I guess they couldn't wait to get home. Guy was super rude.
Today - I called and asked if lamb and rice was available this time. They said yes lamb is available and to come now. I arrived there he asked me if I called about the lamb and I said yes. He handed me bag. With a pre-made platter. Again, in so much of a rush to leave, they couldn't wait for me to get there and order my platter my way. Whatever, I paid. When i asked for extra sauce the guy gave me a nasty look. I wouldn't have to ask for extra sauce if you actually waited for me to arrive.
When I opened it at home it's a mixed platter and an extra lamb gyro, two items, none of them a lamb and rice. All I wanted was a lamb and rice. So now they charged me for two things that I didn't even order. When I called them back and explained the situation he said, :Did you call? We don't have lamb and rice" and hung up on me." Obviously if you made a mix platter you could of made a lamb and rice.
They need more professional employees This place used to be good but has severely declined. The employees don't...
Read moreGreat food! I've first been exposed to Hamza and Madina from their Hicksville location, and I remember having the urge to go but couldn't because it's so far. We would make detours on the way back to eastern long island just so we can pick up gyro platters. With this relatively new location in Ronkonkoma, I've been blessed to know I'm saving an hour's worth of driving. The food is phenomenal as always, can't go wrong with a classic chicken/lamb with rice/pita bread. I do enjoy ordering the Philly cheesesteak from time to time. I'll be honest I'm a noob when it comes to making my sandwich but the guy in the front read my facial expression and knew immediately what was up. He just told me "I got you" and took care of the rest, and it was good! The overall decor of the place is very lively, I really dig the skyline drawing in the background. The workers try to establish a human connection, they usually ask if we're from the area and what we do which is nice. They're very receptive to customs so don't feel shy to change things up. My brother attempted to order a European sandwich he had in another place, and it wasn't bad. It's a great location to open up the store and I'm confident business will do great here, support your local Halal joint right here...
Read moreMy Husband and I stopped in on Columbus day (10/14/19) after driving back home from upstate. Our church Holy Cross had a benefit dinner hour here on 9/26/19 for our food and fundraiser that a portion of the proceeds Hamza & Madina donated back to the church! Everyone raved about this place...well now we know why! We couldn't make it that night but sure enjoyed our chicken and lamb combo platters with white sauce and red on the side on the 14th!...generous portions and price...thank you guys... will get people from Stony Brook University to order lunch for delivery!!!♥♥
