Terrible Customer Service – Avoid This Place!

I recently called in an order for loaded fries from Holy Cow in Selden, and the experience was an absolute disaster. I noticed the price listed online was different from what I was charged over the phone, so I called back within two minutes to clarify. I was told the price was $15, which was more than what I had seen online. When I questioned this, the person on the phone mentioned there are small, medium, and large options—something that was never explained to me when I initially placed the order.

Instead of admitting their mistake, the person on the phone immediately got defensive and blamed me for not asking which size I wanted. How am I supposed to know there are different sizes if they don't tell me? He then said it was "too late" because the order had already been put in and argued with me as if it was my fault! He even went as far as to say, "Our old customers know," like that’s an excuse for not informing new customers properly.

This place has zero customer service standards and clearly doesn’t care about its customers. They argue with you instead of fixing their mistakes. To top it off, a friend of mine had a similarly terrible experience when he tried ordering veggie burgers. He was told it was too late and couldn’t switch his order. What kind of service is that?

I would seriously question what goes on behind the scenes in a place that treats its customers like this. Who knows what kind of corners they cut in the kitchen if they can’t even handle a simple order correctly? Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

Unfortunately, my recent experience with Holy Cow Burgers was disappointing. I placed an online order for pickup and then called to add some mix and match sliders and chicken sliders to my order. During the phone call, there seemed to be some confusion – the person I spoke with repeatedly said "holy cow" instead of "chicken sliders," and when they quoted me a price, I mistakenly thought it included my existing online order. When I arrived, I discovered they had prepared full-sized chicken sandwiches instead of sliders. When I explained the situation, the manager insisted he had quoted the correct price over the phone and refused to honor the initial misunderstanding. He seemed more focused on proving himself right than finding a resolution that would satisfy me as a customer. While he eventually offered a 30% discount, it wasn't what I had requested, and his demeanor was unprofessional. He rolled his eyes and acted as if he were doing me a favor, which further soured the experience. In the food service industry, customer satisfaction should be a priority, and I felt this was lacking in my interaction with the manager. While the food was good, the miscommunication, lack of accommodation, and poor customer service from the manager significantly impacted my overall experience. I hope they can improve their communication and customer service practices...

Holy Cow Burgers is an absolute gem! I order from them on Uber Eats all the time, and their deals are unbeatable—especially the BOGO offers, which are a steal. The quality of their burgers is consistently impressive—thick, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they use high-quality meat, and they don’t skimp on the extras! Every time I customize my order, they get it right, which I really appreciate.

On my recent visit to pick up my order, I noticed they have some great price points in-store as well, making it a solid spot whether you're ordering delivery or dining in. The atmosphere is welcoming, with a sleek, city-inspired design that stands out in a suburban area. The owners and staff are always professional, smiling, and courteous, which adds to the great experience.

One small improvement I’d love to see—when ordering pickles, I wish there was an option to specify the amount. That would be a game-changer for future orders! But overall, this place delivers on all fronts. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite, dining in, or ordering delivery, Holy Cow Burgers is definitely worth it....
