We went here on vacation two nights in a row for dinner around 6pm each time. Both Friday and Saturday there were hardly any patrons! I wish I knew the waitress's name that we had Friday night (bigger girl, blond, cat eye type eyeliner). She was 5 star Fabulous!! Saturday night we got a different waitress named Bailey that was not a good waitress at all. Bailey is the main reason for the 3 overall rating here. If we had her the night before, I can promise you we would not have come back here a second night to eat.
Friday we got the chicken quesadilla with onion rings. It was a lot of food! The onion rings were good. The quesadilla wasn't bad, but a little bland. The chicken tasted like it had no flavor and the salsa was a really bland thick tomato salsa. My husband got a steak with sides and said everything was pretty good. We got an appetizer of the philly cheesesteak rolls. They were very good, but a total rip off. It is just 4 small egg rolls cut in half for almost $18!! I had one Brewster Breeze drink and it was delicious (hubby had water)! Our bill that night was $72 before tip.
Saturday the food options were much more reasonable and our bill was less that half of night before at $31 before tip (no appetizer or alcohol drink tonight). We had the Jack Daniels chicken finger basket. The chicken breading was a little different, but tasted good. Had a salad and tater tots and a french dip sandwich. It was all good as well. The big issue was our waitress, Bailey. She took quite awhile to come to our table when we arrived (again restaurant had only a handful of customers). When she came she was friendly and took our order, brought drinks... no problem. Next time we saw her she was bringing our food. Everything was correct. We should have specifically asked her for refills as our glasses were about 3/4 empty. I guess we just assumed she would do her job and bring refills. She didn't. We actually NEVER saw her again and had to ask a girl cleaning the table next to us for water refills (we were almost done eating at this time). By the time that girl brought our waters, we were done and waiting on our check. Sat there forever waiting on the waitress to come back out and give us our check. Unacceptable service!
If other people come here and have service like her, then it is no wonder that this restaurant is basically dead on a Friday Saturday dinner when other restaurants around have full parking lots. Management needs to do something with Bailey and give the other waitress accolades for...
Read moreWe enjoyed a very good dinner this evening. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. I ordered the Smoked, BBQ half chicken with onion rings and macaroni salad. My wife ordered the Turkey, bacon club sandwich on a pretzel bun with tater tots. My chicken had a great smokey flavor and was very moist and tender. The BBQ sauce that came with it was Jack Daniels brand and complimented the smokey flavor of the chicken perfectly. The onion rings were some of the best I have ever had. The macaroni salad however was average for what I have had at other restaurants and even from some of the local grocery stores, but still good. My wife's sandwich was also delicious. She commented several times about the sear or gilling that was done to the turkey giving it an excellent bite. She also said the honey mustard sauce was a very tasty addition to the other flavors. As for the tater tots, she said they had a good crispness and were delicious as well. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and provided recommendations on appetizers, meals, and desserts. With drinks, our meal came to just under $46, plus tip. The overall seating area has changed some from the former restaurant layout, but only so much can be done in a small footprint. There was a television on the wall near our table showing sports. It wasn't turned up and was not a distraction to our dinner. We didn't go into the bar area of the restaurant, but looking in from the entrance it seemed to have plenty of seating and space for people to enjoy a game on television, or a group of friends to get together for a few drinks. I visited the restroom while there and can say I don't believe it has been updated since the previous restaurant was there, but it is well maintained and clean. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, the service, and the atmosphere. We will be...
Read moreI watched with anticipation as the restoration of the former Ruby Tuesday building progressed. My wife and I were frequent diners at one time and was exited there might soon be a much needed additional dining option. My first visit was an exploratory mission to determine if it was somewhere I wanted to bring my wife. Wow . . . I was blown away. The job they did on the renovation was amazing, the service was great and the food was exceptional! I ordered the Rueben with fries. As I told my server, I’ve eaten all over the country and it was the best Rueben I’ve ever eaten . . . the fries were outstanding. My second visit was the clincher. I convinced my wife to come back with me, hoping she would have a similar experience. She liked the atmosphere; we were waited on quickly and then came the final test . . . the food. I loved their Rueben, but was it a fluke? So, I ordered the French Dip and onion rings. My wife eats a little lighter and ordered broiled fish with a side of green beans. Everything was AMAZING; my French dip was every bit as good as the Rueben, the onion rings were unbelievable, and even better, my wife loved her fish and the green beans . . . I hate vegetables and I couldn’t stop eating them. Why was everything so great? It was the attention to detail. A beautiful atmosphere, fresh ingredients coupled with exceptional seasonings and a wait staff that was friendly and attentive. It was so nice to experience something exceptional rather than settling for mediocre. Next . . . ...
