Dang's Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Camillus

Dang's Cafe isn't a lot to take in from the outside, but has plenty of flavor bursting from the inside.

The new Butternut eatery has been open since January. The location was formerly the Pasian's Italian American restaurant. Simple orange signage hangs outside, making people aware of the Dang good food.

Today was my first visit. You are greeted by a tidy bar area that opens up into the dining room. The room is well lit, with plenty of two and four tops adorning the room.

I chose the chef's specialty today: Shaken Beef. It shook my to my core. It is a sirloin steak marinated in a soy sauce, garlic and onion marinate. It is finished by a quick fry with wine and served with a nice white rice.

The dish let the ingredients speak for themselves. The dish was light and refreshing, while still filling me up and filling me up on a dreary, alleged Spring day.

This is my second and last time dining here. Ordered pho, waited for a while since it's a weekend night and the noodles turned out to be very undercooked, starchy, and not edible (I almost never complain about food as long as it's edible). I politely asked the server to bring the food back and told him I wouldn't have time to wait for a new one since I'm already in a hurry. When I was paying, they still charged me for the undercooked pho noodles I never ate (and it's already not edible lol) at full price and when I asked about it they refused to take it off the bill. Me and my friends tried Dang’s for the first time today and let me tell you it is a once in a lifetime experience. I wish I could experience this first impression over and over. The guy at the front counter was amazing and even gave us free extra fries and vegetables. There was an abundance of sauces for the wings to choose from and he even brought out a couple for us to try. The wait was very quick, considering one guy made all of the food for me and my 4 friends. Do not even get me started on the food. The wings were scrumptious and the fries were hot and fresh.
