Update: 2022 here, still a great place in general but unmatched delicious fish fry! The staff is very friendly and all-around great place to be. I have now hooked my mom on this place and their fish fry as well and she had always shared the same experience. Great place.

Everything was great! I have never been so enthusiastically greeted and treated so nicely when entering a bar before. I believe the owner was working the bar and she was working her tail off and still courteous and engaging. I will definitely be back here! The fish fry was excellent. Being lent I Googled where to get a good fish fry nearby and they came up. The SMALL fish fry was so much food. The bartender said they have a large which is about 2x the amount of food. No way anyone could eat that alone! I had trouble with the small. You get a delicious cod, (which is surprisingly hard to find!), Potato salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, fries, and practically a half loaf of bread. Everything was delicious! And I struggled to finish it all. Will definitely be back here just to see if the experience is just as good. I love places that make you feel good to patronize them and Jade's definitely had...

Last Spring and now this Lenten Season their phone rings constantly busy. I have heard they are GREAT. Well if I can go there someday maybe they are. Right now I have to say they are not. How can you not answer your phone and take orders for pick up during a pandemic. Its a shame.

Thank you for responding. I can understand how busy the Lenten season is for so many. As a Depew resident we have tried to support local establishments. Especially during the last year. You may want to consider a recorded message on your phone that says you cannot accept calls. Or have someone who only staffs the phone. You advertise on Facebook and your website about take out, curbside pick up and recommend reservations. You may want to update to suggest calling in a day earlier by a certain time. That would allow you to control order flow and pick ups. It certainly appears you have a dedicated group of clientele who have kept you going and you rely on. Stopped by Jades for Lunch today as I was really hankering a Fish Fry and my area seems to be predominantly Haddock, but I'm a Cod guy and asking around Jades came up.

Walked in and dining room was mostly full @ noon which wasn't a huge surprise considering its a Friday during Lent and Friday Fish Fry's are a big deal around here.

After a couple of minutes sat down and ordered my food, about 10 - 15 minutes later the Fish Fry came out and I was impressed. Good batter, nice side portions with a tasty German Potato salad and the Fish itself was tasty.

Not a fancy establishment at all and the decor looks like it hasn't been updated in about 30 years, but it doesn't matter...the food is all that matters and it lived up to my expectations.

My only complaint ( and it's minor ) is that the small Fish Fry serving comes on a tiny plate and with the sides etc served with it doesn't leave a lot of room and if you're not careful you got some fish spillage over the sides......tiny complaint but 15% bigger a plate would...
