So I've never had a Cheese steak from Philly, so I cannot comment about how "Authentic" this is to a true Philly cheese steak and my rating does not reflect authenticity. What I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here and how much you get for what you pay! The Cheesesteak Boss is a new establishment in the Northgate plaza and they are, of course, all about the Cheesesteaks. They also provide other options on the menu, like smash burgers. There is not much room for dine in service here (3 or 4 tables overall) but in this instance all of the seats were available. We dined in for lunch on a Sunday around noon. It was not busy. I ordered a regular 1/2 lb steak cheesteak while my wife ordered the small 1/4 lb chicken, and we ordered a side of fries to go along with it. Staff was quick to help us and cooked the Cheesesteak and fries to order. The side of fries is easily enough fries for two people and would probably satisfy 3 or 4. I was getting 5 Guys vibes from the amount of fries in the side. The cheese steaks came out delicious! The 1/2 lb Cheesesteak was honestly massive and next time I'd likely just go for the small, which is plenty of food for one person making this a great value and an option to consider if you are looking for a meal for under $10. Overall I will absolutely give the Cheesesteak Boss my business again. Solid food and, as of now, a small hidden gem.

The cheesesteak was ok but very bread-heavy. I ordered the smaller size and it was alright, I would suggest a meaty one and hopefully that one is stacked. The sizes at first glance are misleading, they’re actually telling you at the end the weight of what they’re putting on, 1/4 lb, 1/2 lb, etc. It isn’t just the size as in length of the bread like other sandwich spots. The pictures are deceiving, advertising pictures often are but for a small business you expect better. There would be no mistaking these for any Philly cheesesteak, so at least it’s not false advertising in that regard. They take card and cash.

I went in here for the first time after seeing their sign out on the road near the entrance and had to try it out. I have to say that these are some of the best cheese steaks you will find outside of Philly. I was born just outside of Philly, I've had a few cheese steaks. These are great too. The place is kind of plain inside but I wasn't there for artwork on the walls . The food was fresh, hot, made to order and delicious. I ordered the 1 pounder and had 2 meals from it.

I pretty much never leave reviews but I was really disappointed with my experience. I've had a few really really good cheesesteaks in the binghamtom area and for 32.00 for two regular cheesesteaks, one side of fries, and one canned soda, I was baffled. I was there while they made the steaks and after taking it to the car where we opened it, the bun was a soggy mess and the way that the steaks were wrapped caused the meat to almost completely fall out of the bun and cheese was all over our hands. We didn't have any napkins in the bag that they gave us with the food, and overall it was just not great. Was also disappointed that the quality of the French fries reminded me of frozen French fries that you can toss in the air fryer and the steak reminded me of the shaved steak you can buy from the store. You can just make these sandwiches at...

Food was fresh, French fries are fresh cut. Double cooked as they should be. They should offer cheese fries and they would be great addition to the menu. Had a single smash burger, and regular cheesesteak, both were great and price was fair. To the people complaining about soggy buns, the burgers could be the culprit since they are juicy, the steak as well but the sub roll had kept its crisp better. Maybe toast the buns longer but not sure that will help with the burger mixture they use. Overall I'd say it's a 8 out of 10 on the quality and taste. Cons were fries should be cooked to order, not resting. Burgers and cheessteak a bit too juicy but for some could be good. Pros 6 buck burger Plenty of meat Fries are fresh cut. Food was ready fast. (Though I got there...
