07/14/24: I'd read the five-star reviews for Barton & Lyles and decided that I had to see this shop when we were in the Binghamton area in early June. The store exterior doesn't reveal much as to what you'll find inside but, once inside, it's like a candy store for vintage MCM treasures. The shop is larger than it appears from the outside and consists of two well-stocked rooms and all nicely displayed. It was gratifying to see so many vintage pieces and all in excellent ready-to-use condition. MCM furniture, lighting, wall decor, accent pieces, they likely have what you're looking for. Be aware, though, it's mostly market prices for the vintage pieces you'll find here. It's a bit hard to imagine seeing so many iconic MCM pieces all in one shop far removed from a very major metro area, like NY City, but that's exactly what you'll find here. I talked a little with Ken about the impressive inventory and where most of his customers are located. Ken did mention that his inventory does turn fairly quickly, and we discussed various shipping/delivery options for larger pieces. For me, the 2.5 hour drive to get here was well worth the trip. I was short on time that day, so I need to plan a second visit here sometime soon. If you're looking for a very nice selection and wide variety of quality MCM furniture and decor, better plan a trip to Binghamton. Thanks...

Read moreIn my particular case, still have all the hand made furniture, as a wedding present from my Grandfather to my parents from 1959. Each of them is long gone but quality lasts. The grandeur is that of Louis the fourteenth with absolutely no kitsch. This establishment hits home; but, the crucial difference is that there are mostly period pieces here. In that each item observed is very decent, I wish the partners the best with their spectacular endeavor to preserve, recycle and present a number of materials, to buyers, that aren't any...
