I used to live in Florida and Tropical Smoothie Cafe was one of my favorite go to’s. I was super excited and ordered my favorites for me and my mother. I placed our order through the app and the wait time was over 40 minutes. When I arrived to pick up my order I had no idea where to go, so I stood in line. When I was helped I was told the order was in the pickup area, which I didn’t know where that was. The individual pointed to a shelf where there were a couple of bags. There’s no sign to indicate online orders, so unless you already know you might have to wait. I didn’t see an area to sit down and eat, which the others I’ve been to there’s a small area. Also, this location does not have a drive thru. For my order we had a Buffalo Chicken Wrap, a Hummus Veggie Wrap and 2 Paradise Point Smoothies. The total was approximately $29, which is a little pricey. The wraps were not good. The Buffalo Wrap was extremely watery (it wasn’t the Buffalo Sauce) and the flavor was watered down, so not a lot of spice. The Hummus Veggie Wrap was flavorless. It had a real lot of rice, a little bit of avocado, a tiny bit of hummus (which you couldn’t even taste), and it was supposed to have pickled onions (couldn’t taste them). I’ve had these wraps many times and they were much better than what I received. The Paradise Point Smoothies were great. The only complaint I have with them is that the restaurant has very thin, short straws which is more for the kiddie size. It was hard drinking the smoothies with these little things! In the restaurant’s defense they are new here. They still need to get the menu down and their processes perfected. In comparison to other TSC’s they were really slow and not that busy; it’s much busier at other locations. A 40 minute wait is not acceptable especially with the number of employees there and no drive thru. I’ll return again when the restaurant has been operating longer so they can get everything down. I really hope they do because this chain does offer good food and yummy...
Read moreThe food is very good when prepared properly. I’ve ordered the same açaí bowl on grubhub 4 times and 2 of the times it was very good. The first time my order wasn’t correct they forgot to add half the toppings and I just got a partial refund from grubhub and wasn’t that upset because it was still edible. I order an açaí bowl with granola, banana, strawberries, honey, and a peanut butter drizzle on top. This time, they literally sent a bowl filled to the top with melted açaí. I stirred it around and found some chunks of banana on the bottom and some granola sprinkled in. If you look closely you can see the “peanut butter drizzle on top”. Whoever made this either hates their job or came to work high or something. Not sure how anyone could look at this and think it’s okay to give to someone. I never complain or write reviews for anything but being sent $15 açaí soup is crazy. If I wasn’t at work I would drive there just to check on whoever made this to ask them if...
Read moreAbsolutely loved Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I got the Mocha Madness and I will never be going to Starbucks again! This was so good, and had a great combination of chocolate flavors and coffee flavor. The actual food was a little small for the price, but this place is all about smoothies and easily makes up for it. We have since tried several smoothies and have loved them all. The Detox smoothie with greens and ginger has VERY strong ginger flavor, almost spicy, and that's what I like about it. There's a happy hour between 7 and 9am where all smoothies are on sale for 3.99, there's almost no reason for me to go to a coffee place in...
