Bought a table hwre a few weeks ago and brought another table to donate today. After removing a few bungies from the table on my roof rack, the young man receiving the donations told me 'they aren't taking furniture at this time.' I donate to this goodwill frequently and check there prior to buying things in the store... in the past few months I have been told the following items were not being received: Ceiling fan because its electrical (I have seen ceiling fans there as well as track lighting... so... ) New-in-box humidifier(because it might have mold... even after I showed them the bix was sealed... also I've seen humidifiers there in the past). Today's table... Several other items.
For random reasons. It got to the point where I would just laugh and shake my head and leave when they told me 'no'... All in all... I used to love this GW... but over the past few years it has gone down the tubes relative to accepting donations .. the prices have gone up (expected... some what... but selling items you can get in the dollar store for 1.25 for more than 3 dollars is not good)... and the selection has become spotty (possibly due to not taking donations from folks(?)) I think I'll start bringing my donations to the salvation army or the habitat for...
Read moreI liked the place overall, because they had very cute stuff, but there were a few setbacks.
They only had two dressing rooms open and there were a lot of people waiting, so I'd recommend opening a third one, at least. The dressing rooms were a bit of a mess tbh. Please clean them more. They had some items marked for expensive prices as if they were a normal store and not a thrift store...😮💨
Some of the shoes were like 20 or more... Many items were from the dollar tree and they would mark them more than the original price. Others were close to brand-new prices. Also, it seems like the employees are looking at the online listings for items and marking them. GoodWill is supposed to be a second-hand store✋️. I go here so that I can afford stuff. For example, I loved a scarf but immediately put it back because I'm not paying $12 for a single scarf. They marked it up because it was Calvin Klein. But come on really? This is supposed to be a thrift store so people can afford clothing for less,...
Read moreLove any Goodwill, and this store is no exception. Generally, there is an interesting selection of kitchenware, tableware and knick knacks to sort through. Book selection is not very large, but prices good. Clothing items are clean and I rarely find torn, soiled or otherwise damaged items. Staff is friendly and try to stay out of shoppers' way. They try to keep the check out line moving quickly. Plenty of carts. Clean restrooms
Update: They are getting more and more new merchandise. It's beginning to look a bit like a dollar store, only with higher prices. There was merchandise that was clearly broken that was put on the shelves. There was only one check out line open, but two other employees chatting at the next register. In one way this was good because the cashier was new? or not experienced. I had several fragile items and she was surprised that I wanted items wrapped in paper that is there for just that reason. One of the other clerks came over to help...
