I wasn't going to post this, though it has stayed on my mind, so I will, and move on.
I was really looking forward to going to the restaurant based upon the reviews.
I walked in the door and there was a few folks in front of me. One gentleman even complimented my jacket.
I saw two females behind the counter cooking. No greeting was given to me, and I put that aside because they were cooking.
I was waiting patiently for them to take my order.
Minutes later a couple entered after me. I immediately saw them walk to the far right. I didn't even notice that there was a gentleman behind the counter.
First service fail.
I had been standing there clearly, and neither of the females acknowledged, nor told me where to go to order. As far as I am aware I didn't see signage, nor notice that the gentleman was to the right.
Second service fail. He himself obviously having seen me did not direct me to him, or advise the couple that I entered before them.
When I got to the counter again, no acknowledgement that I had been standing there.
When the food is ready one of the female loudly yells the orders. She is positioned right at the counter when everyone goes to pick up the food. No salutations, no greeting again. Doesn't tell you where to get utensils, straws, napkins. She waits for you to say thank you or acknowledge her. I didn't
While the birria taco was one of the best I ever tasted I will not be coming back again.
We have lost of way of human decency, kindness, pleasantries.
I work in hospitality and hours on hours greet, acknowledge, make someone feel welcomed.
The fact that this simple courtesy isn't established...
Read moreI got so excited when I drove by and saw that a La Divina had opened up on Transit! I am a regular at the original at the Buffalo location because I work next door at least 1-2 times a week. I live closer to the one on Transit, so when i saw it, I immediately did a U-turn. Food is just as fantastic as the one in Buffalo, and they have an additional veggie taco option that the Buffalo location does not, eggplant- which is now one of my favorites. I also enjoy their potato and poblano, cauliflower, or zucchini tacos. You absolutely HAVE to stop by and try it, its the freshest, most flavorful food you will ever have. Dont forget to try the avocado salsa/sometimes marked guacamole, on your food (located at the toppings bar)...
Read moreLove the new location, it's a lot closer to me than it used to be, and believe it or not, I think the tacos are even better than before. It's nice that the people working only have to make sure we have a place to sit, something to drink, and tacos to eat. My absolute favorite taco is the barbacoa, but I will still always grab a Pastor and an Asada as well to mix it up a little bit. I've never had hot sauce quite like La Divina's, when they say it's spicy, they mean it. I'm actually getting hungry just writing this review. If I had one complaint it'd be that they stay open longer because I find myself hungry for great tasting tacos at all hours of the night. Edited the review...
