Bailey's Smokehouse - New City — Restaurant in Town of Clarkstown

First off I have to start and say catfish is one of my favorite meals when I’m eating out so making this particular dish right is important I Have eaten here before, but today I must say this catfish was especially good. The vegetables were made beautifully and it was delicious and there was no seasoning, but it was the best blanched vegetable I’ve had in a long time. The macaroni was made to perfection the right amount of cheese and the right amount of seasoning. I even called to let them know how happy I was with the food. I got to talk to the chef to let him know how much I appreciate him. I was super emotional this morning and all I wanted was a really good meal and that’s what I got with Bailey’s I feel whether you eat in Or eat out, The three choices that I have chosen to eat today, will not be disappoint you. First time coming to the New City location and sorry to say not up to par yet. Staff were amazing and very helpful considering how crowded it was. Our waitress was very sweet and and couldn’t help us enough so no complaints there. Wish I could say the same about the food. I order a Rubin sandwich but didn’t want the dressing. I was told they were pre made and could be changed. Explain that one. How do you warm it up if it’s pre made and how long is it sitting. Corned beef was like rubber. Took a bite and whole slabs came out, French onion soup was warm but not hot and very cheap on the cheese. We Ordered the burnt ends and they mostly burnt fat not meat. Very disappointed. Tried to come in for a quick snack from the late night menu at 10:30, waited twenty minutes before anyone even came over(and that was only after I caught their attention by waving both arms). Then they told me there were no servers so if i wanted food I'd have to order at the bar and then carry it to a table. The bar was crowded on a Friday night and it already looked like the bartenders couldn't keep up. How do you not have servers on a Friday night. And I'm not going back and hoping they'll serve me. Ever. While I was waiting the couple beefing me was trying to pay their tab and no one works have come to them if I hadn't waved down someone. And they got someone else's bill, not their own.
