I just experienced this restaurant for the first time today. It is also my last time. I will never go there again. I ignored the warning sign thrown at me by the cosmos, in the form of an oriental woman literally shouting angrily at me the moment I came through the door! Reason: she was upset that I was tracking on the floor she was in the middle of mopping. But what else could I do? There was no rug to walk upon, and the only way to read the menu and place my order at the counter all the way across the wet floor, was to cross the floor. I did that, ignoring the fulminating glances sent at me from the floor-cleaning woman.
I ordered some chicken curry takeout. When the time came to pay, the cashier took my $5 and gave me a tight little fake smile, and I knew she was shortchanging me but I decided to let it go. The food was priced on the menu at $4.55 and I handed her a $5 bill. I got nothing back. If one calculates 8% sales tax on the food, that means I should have received 9 cents change.
So that was strike 2 against this restaurant.
Strike three came when I reached home and opened the food package. I immediately noticed the food smelled funky. After some prolonged sniffing, I figured out the cause -- they cooked it in oil that had somehow come in contact with fish! So, my chicken with curry smelled like old fish! Adding to the unpleasant eating experience, some of the vegetables were quite raw and tough to chew. I managed to eat about half of it, only because I could not bring myself to throw away all of it. But I don't plan to eat the second half of it, think I'll give it to the crows. That's my review. My advice is, for decent asian cuisine and good customer service, go...
Read moreFood is tasty, place is a dirty, sticky mess. Can’t put your bare arms on a dirty, uncleaned table while you wait for your take out order. Tables feel like you are sticking to fly paper. Cardboard half tipped over boxes with some supplies litter the table section. Checkout section is surrounded with polyethylene sheeting like we are in the beginning of Covid. Sheeting was clear when new I’m sure but now a greasy yellowed mess. Very young employee’s children crawl around the greasy floors in the table area. You would probably be happy if grubhub brought your take out, but if you SEE the source, you would agree that the place needs a top to bottom “hose down” and update. Plenty of other Chinese take out joints that might make you feel that at least they care about first impressions. If the front table area is that disgusting, I can only imagine what the hidden cooking area looks like. I’m not someone that leaves reviews but sometimes you have to let people know where to go and where not to go. I hope the owners will focus on the disgust and clean...
Read moreI showed up early as a grubhub deliverer. I asked the woman and the cashier how long it would take. They wouldn't even acknowledge me. They where busy. So when I asked again they where frustrated. I only want to know because now it was 15 minutes later and I needed to tell Grubhub and the customer where their food was. The woman was making rough comments in Chinese after she stated she already told me. Definitely a language barrier. Don't blame the delivery driver for lateness. You can always track the driver through the app. If the foods not ready when it states it will be. There's not alot the driver can do. Business's need to be more considerate and look at all their customers and state they acknowledge the customers. Not look down or walk away. And then start talking in a different language.deliverers always ask .So we are not standing there only to find outc15 min later the order was...
