Ralph's Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Colonie

12/21/18 / The most recent update to this review is we recieved a $25 gift card in the mail for us (3) to return to Ralph's Tavern to have a better experience, and to please ask for Michelle, She called us back on my cell phone begging we take down our bad review because she was suspended until after the holidays and has kids and can't afford to lose her job and for one you don't do that, thats Not-profoessional in this type of field and then all of our meals should of been replaced because i paid over $80.00 and we were disapointed on everything including your buffalo wings that you say are very good and it's not fair to us at all then who is ever in charge of suspending employee's should of called me directly to explain things to me. I did'nt want to hear from Michelle the one i had issues with to begin with!

12/16/18- Me and two friends came to Ralphs Tavern for dinner after Shopping at Colonie Center Tonite and had a terrible experience begining with the Service of our blonde female waitress who didn't tell us her name but took our drink order and the coffee was old and cold and we had to ask for refills over and over and our waitress kept disappearing and we saw her in the distance more focused on her damn phone than the customers in the Full Restaurant, we never got bread and butter until we asked then all 3 of us ordered Buffalo Wings wich your menu states they are very good but we had to wait over an hour for them and they tasted horrible then we ordered Steak dinners one a 14 oz. Prime Rib that was rubber and all fat not worth $18. And one 14 oz. Sirloin that was $17.that was not Rare but almost welldone. And Veal Parm that the Veal had raw batter But we had to wait well over 45 min to-an Hour for our dinners and other people came in after us eaten and gone before we finished. At that point we asked a different employee with a apron on in the dining room if we could speak to a manager or General Manager and he then went on to tell us they didn't have one at all and asked how he could help. We are very disgusted and disappointed on the service and treatment especially when we are involved in the FoodService as a Private Chef,Secret Shop,Mystery Shop Field. Then as professional restaurant staff in this restaurant and in the customer service field shouldn't be ignoring a customers concern or complaint and addressing our concern in a more appropiate manner than bringing our check over then ignoring us when were ready to pay and make us wait longer. From our experience tonite the staff were not working together as Teamplayers wich we know is a high quality in the Restaurant field. From what we saw we were not the only customers...

Have always liked the spaghetti and meat sauce . And of course, always have to take a pizza home. I have been back 2 times since my return from Florida. The spaghetti and meat sauce and the pizza is consistently great. My server both times was Rachel. Who is always upbeat, kind, and professional. Thanks Rachel. I always enjoy my time there. I forgot to add that i usually get a glass of beer along with a glass of diet soda. I appreciate that they have 10 ounce glasses as I like a little beer but with the soda and food a pint is too much for me. I get a feeling of peace in some places and it has happened here . Visited again today. Had my usual. Very good, Gosh, I could have the spaghetti, and meat sauce or meatballs every day. Visited again today, the14th of May . Had my usual, spaghetti with meat sauce. Very good!!! Very consistent. The difference today is I did not get a pizza to go . I will again soon. Rachel waited on me again. Always good to see her. Jackie was there this time also. I have not seen her in a while. I guess was the day of the week. She is also a very fine waitress. Was good to see her. Gee.. the more I go ,the longer the review. Went for lunch again yesterday . Jackie was my server and was good to see her again. I passed on the pizza to go again. Tough for me to do but I wanted the spaghetti and meat sauce. I could enjoy it every day. But I do have to try some other things and places. The review gets longer and longer. As the saga continues. Visited again, today, the 4th. Had my usual and it was very good!!! I started eating again before I took the photos. Could not help myself..... I was glad Jackie was there and was my waitress. She is always upbeat and kind. Had to pass on the pizza to go. That can not continue. I am trying to watch my carbs but life is too short. I am fortunate to have written 124 reviews, (with 148,000 photo views, over 200,000 review views) from as far away as Paris, France, and also New Orleans at a small place called, belive it or not, "Mona Lisa's" and west coast florida. Ralph's can hold its own with italian dishes. I had great meatballs in New Orleans but no others have been as good as Ralph's in my humble opinion. Til the next,...

We made a reservation here for Fri5/21/22 5pm. The occasion was to honor our Aunt Audrey, the matriarch of Farrell & White families. We had a party of 13. The main reason for this review is the excellent service we had from the the veteran waitress, Charlene. Different drinks, dinner choices, and some separate checks all where handled with complete competence, professionalism, and a genuine smile throughout our visit. Tommy and Choi were also jumping in when needed. Ralph's is a long time neighborhood favorite. As of Jan 1, 2022 there are new owners-one a long time staffer and the other a new to Ralph's but with a long career in the restaurant biz. Food is consistently very good with new items appearing as specials. Emphasis on Italian-American fare but certainly a variety of items to appeal to all. Always famous for their chicken wings, pizzas, the unique mozzarella sticks w/ Melba sauce, and six choices of hot sandwich torpedos. Full service bar, draft beers, and many new wine choice. Wine Wednesdays - 1/2 price on bottles. Family friendly and plenty of parking. Hours are 11am-12am Mon-Thu, 11am-1am Fri & Sat, Sun 12pm-1130pm. Again family friendly, can handle larger groups w/ reservations, value priced food & drinks, takeout, delivery, & catering, convenient, & neighborhood friendly. Thank you to all the staff.
