Hometown Ice Cream and Grill — Restaurant in Town of Crawford

Not coming back so I'm going ahead and writing a review. We arrived when we were the only people in line. We ordered 3 items. We asked what one of the specials consisted of before ordering it. We waited about 20 minutes and received 2 items. I asked if we were still waiting for the last item and she gave me a nervous laugh and said she'd make it ("chicken sliders" - we were told it would be 3 sliders that consisted of chicken nuggets and buns, and we asked to add cheese.) After another 15 minutes she came out with 1 hamburger bun with chicken, cheese, Lettuce, tomato, and mayo. My kid won't eat any of this other stuff. We asked if it could be remade and apologized for any confusion while ordering. A worker who just arrived came back with the same exact sandwich and apologized but just handed it to us, mayo and all. My 6 year old during all of this, was excited to have finished his meal and ordered an ice cream, was told they didn't have that flavor, he asked for a simple strawberry cone, and never received it. We left after receiving an approximate refund that we hesitantly asked for. It seemed no owner or manager could be bothered to be on site to make sure things are being run smoothly. Another elderly customer arrived after us and was left waiting for an extremely long time as well for a single item. It takes a lot for us to leave a poor review but I left with an angry husband and crying kids when we went here for a quick dinner and ice cream, which should have been...

The reason I gave a 3-Star rating was because of a few things. I went with my family this evening for ice cream. The ice cream deserves the 3 stars for the taste and selection of desserts available as well as the hot foods.

The guest eating area was not clean as it should have been. The table area where napkins are needed to be restocked and cleaned. The floors swept up, tables wiped down. The staff were sitting inside on their phones between customers when they could have been cleaning the establishment. I noticed the owner came for a short visit, (I recognized her from FB posts) but she said nothing, did nothing to oversee the customers area. I do hope the untidiness in the dining area does not reflect the food preparation area. Also the parking lot has quite a lot of trash imbedded under the gravel and such.

Absolutely Delicious! A Must-Visit Ice Cream Spot!

I stopped by this ice cream stand on a whim and I’m so glad I did! The variety of flavors was incredible—everything from classic vanilla bean to creative, seasonal options like honey lavender and blueberry cheesecake. I went with a double scoop of salted caramel and pistachio, and it was hands-down the best I’ve had in ages.

The staff was super friendly and patient while I sampled a few flavors, and the service was quick even though there was a bit of a line (a good sign!). Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and they even had vegan and dairy-free options, which is a huge plus.

The stand itself is clean, cute, and perfectly located for a sunny afternoon treat. I’ll definitely be back—and bringing friends next time! Highly...
