Yea, good barbeque. We all had pulled pork sandwiches, I give them like a 73 on the bun-to-pork ratio scale, could have been higher but still well within the boundaries of acceptable. But was a nice cheap untoasted white bun of a proper size. Thought the smoke was excellent, tender, moist, flavorful pork. Good BBQ. That said, if you're used to small smokey joints tucked into the hills of Carolina with the meat in the smoker for 8 hours, you may be a little "meh", but just like some people in the south know how to drive ok in the snow, these folks do a good job with their BBQ. And good sauces, too. I dig farm to table, local meat raised humanely, it's a big deal that I'm not supporting brutal and abusive treatment of animals, I enjoy a meal more that way, and they get high marks for that. Decore, that gets pretty low marks, but I went for the food, not the space, and it was the smell that drew me in. But it's obviously a former garage, and the weird arrangement of guitars up on one wall and the wooden Mex skeleton marionette guy wired to the steel beam didn't do anything to persuade me otherwise. Booth was good but not pleased with the way the tables looked, or the arrangement, I dunno, but eat the food, don't look around. Oh, and TV's in a BBQ joint? That's just not right, man... My only real complaint would be that slaw should be available as a free adder on any pulled pork sando, always, every time. Don't care what the Southerners say (I'm one), screw the purist BBQ snobs, just always offer slaw on a pulled pork sandwich, for free.

We’ve eaten here twice now. All I can say is WOW. I finished my meal and said “Now THAT was satisfying. When I crave BBQ and have a picture in my head of the meal I want. THIS is what I envision.” The food was absolutely fantastic. This place is the epitome of not trying to be overly fancy. Just pick something and do it well. And that something is BBQ. The pulled pork was fall-apart tender and melt in your mouth juicy. The fried pickles we had for an appetizer were amazing. Perfectly crispy, seasoned breading surrounding fresh crunchy pickles. The wings were delicious as well. Even something as simple as fries were done so well. I couldn’t get enough of them. All ingredients are locally sourced and it shows. The various sauces available on the table are all great and it’s nice to be able to try out various ones without having to ask. Our server John was great as well. We visited at a pretty busy time but he was always on top of fresh drinks and checking in. The one time he was absent for a short amount of time he immediately apologized and asked what we needed. We’ve only gone when we were in the area, but I would happily drive the 2 hours just to enjoy a meal here. 5 stars easily. Try them out, you won’t be disappointed.

Best bbq in town. They dont accept reservations, so if you have a large group, be sure the whole party is there or they won't seat you until they all arrive. Friendly staff, and you get generous portions for your sides. We had the whole menu and the pork and brisket combo. The whole menu comes with pulled pork, brisket, half rack of ribs, burnt ends, and the BBQ of the day, which today was half smoked chicken. You also get all 11 sides, which includes the premium sides. The collard greens were a bit salty, and we didn't care for the potato salad, but all the other sides were very good. The corn muffins with cinnamon butter were yummy. The whole menu costs $99 and will easily feed 5-6 people. If you go with the pork and brisket combo for $29, you get a large piece of brisket and a pile of pulled pork along with 2 sides. The combo is enough for 2 people. We added a corn muffin to the pork and brisket combo, and it was plenty for 2. They have a full bar and a nice selection of local craft beers as well as seltzer and other drinks available. Stop in and try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Overall ok. Service was nice and we were sat right away (off season crowd)

Also a very nice draft selection. Although I wish they had more local brews.

Got the 'Pit master' as it seemed to have everything ": pulled pork, brisket, chopped brisket, 5 wings, ¼ rack, two sides, cornbread. All for $50" Also sounded like enough to split between two people. The pulled pork was good, if a little dry, thankfully they have all the sauces on the table ready for you. Sadly the bottles were all sticky which was a bit of a turn off (pandemic should have taught us to wipe that stuff down between customers / The place was over all clean and there was a worker just wiping down the railings. Really could have used the quit time to make the bottles not sticky with how many peoples germs.) Best thing was the chopped brisket that was already soaked in their coffee infused BBQ sauce. It added a nice touch to the BBQ and wasn't overpowering. The brisket was also excellent but was just two slices. The wings were ok, would have liked them crispier and the hot sauce was a bit generic. The 1/4 rack of ribs was 3 ribs and the low of the show. Very dry, yet pink and hard to get off of the bone. Probably the worst ribs I've ever had. The portion was small, but we had less than half. For the sides had the spicy mac and cheese (it was ok and boring overall) and partner had the coleslaw and had half. The cornbread were two 'mini-muffins' and were ok.

So, for $50 I thought it was kind of small portions of each (5 wings seems right though) and in my youth, I could have finished it by myself. We had a little of pork leftover, but more from not wanting anymore. As a whole it was enough for two (but one of you should be a lighter eater) Left a bit unsatisfied / disappointed, but would probably go back for something different if I was in the area if others wanted to. BBQ often needs a predictable big crowd to have things be ready and eaten, where the whole order seemed like it was ready a few hours before we got there and kept hot or re-heated. I'm thinking summer tourists bring in the right...
