We went for Sunday lunch this past weekend. It was a rainy chilly day and we wanted to go somewhere and get a hot lunch at an affordable price. Lunch buffet and drinks for 2 was right around $32 before tip. The food was hot and there was a decent variety of meats&shellfish, stirfys, soup, veggie dishes, rices, noodle dishes, and an array of fresh fruits and chilled desserts. But a lot of the items are extremely greasy/fatty/oily. So if you like heavy/high calorie/fried foods, this place is right up your alley. If you are sensitive to grease or MSG this is probably not a good fit for you. My boyfriend loved the meal, he enjoyed several plates and ice cream and fresh pineapple and melon slices for dessert. I enjoyed it enough while we were there but paid dearly with an upset gut/indigestion/heartburn for hours afterwards. Many of the waitstaff are still learning English but our particular waitress today spoke English very well, and checked on us often and offered to refill our drinks several times.
The one warning ⚠️ I will offer is to avoid the ladies restroom. It was filthy and several toilets were not in functioning order and...
Read moreThis was the nastiest, filthiest restaurant i have ever been to. I spent 8 years running a chinese take out delivery spot. I've worked in Red Lobster, Outback, family places. This place is filthy from the front door to the bathroom and let me tell you, the bathroom is gonna be your friend. We avoided the seafood just because of how filthy everything is. I'm on my 3rd visit to the bathroom the next day. Wife son both experiencing similar. Black finger prints everywhere, dust and grime from the 1970s. Only fed there because we were late to a meet up with friends and didn't have time to change locations. Wished we had. Seriously, I would rather drink tap water in Mexico because at least the views are pretty and exotic. If they raised the titanic and served food in the dining room without cleaning it or any passenger remains, it may be cleaner. No plate clearing, refills and we had to get the check from the front desk. Oh and they left the door open and put my family which includes a 1 and 4 year old at the closest booth to their open door and it was like 30°f...
Read moreI am a very very picky eater for American Chinese and I will say that this place is the best buffet you will get in the capital region. I have tried all the Chinese food and buffets in Albany Troy etc and they ALL SUCK. But this one I give it a 4 for several reason. 1.) the food is a good balance of sweet and savory and if you have a heightened taste like me you will taste a LOT of sugar. If your a calorie counter I hope it’s you’re cheat day. The only inedible too sugary food was the general Tsos. I’ll repeat it again IT HAS A LOT OF SUGAR. The food for cost is worth it and if you want good bang for your buck for this type of Chinese food I highly recommend this place cause if you eat here you won’t regret spending money or even eating the food but you will potentially take a long nap/be hyper from all the sugar in the food. Honestly the only thing I would change is the amount of sugar in the food.
Edit: This has become a 4 to a 5....
