Brent's General Store — Restaurant in Town of East Hampton

My husband and I frequent this place for quick bites on the go. However, I decided to step inside for the 1st time, and it was horrible. There was a Hispanic female at the register that never even looked up at me while speaking to me. She proceeded to ring me up, and so I used the opportunity to request to use the restroom. She flatly stated "no" and that was it. No eye contact, no explanation, no apologies for inconvenience, just a flat, dry, "no!" That was enough for me to walk out. I spend money here all the time, and today was no different. There's so many other competitors for food, but good customer service is hard to find these days! The best of everything, great variety, reliably delicious, reasonably priced fixed menu and daily specials to keep life interesting. Brent's shelves are always well stocked with freshly delivered items and ones made in house. (My favorite is the Butterscotch Pudding.) The owners and clerks are pleasant, helpful and can be downright friendly. The small space can get very crowded at peak times and may get a bit rough for the meek among us, so time your visit accordingly or order ahead. Omg their Omelettes are to die for and so huge. Once it was burnt and they made one on the house upon my next visit. Very nice of them to do. Customer Service is good. They always add a fruit with your breakfast which gives it a touch. I'm always satisfied. I always can get coffee or tea from here which I have had many times. U get to make it for yourself.
