We stayed at the Kartrite resort and planned to return to NYC the following day. The kids wanted some ice cream from a Goshen shop that we enjoyed when we went to Legoland, but I noticed they were closed. I was looking for a place that offered gluten-free options, so I researched and found Ice Capps. I called the number for Ice Capps, which had suitable ice cream options, but unfortunately, they would be closed when we were driving by on our way to New York. Colleen, the owner, asked me to call her when we were about a half-hour away. She said that if possible, she would come by to open up and serve us.

I initially felt guilty about calling her, but my 4-year-old was cranky during the drive home the following day. So, I took Colleen up on her offer and called her. She met me at the store a full hour before it was supposed to open and served me and my family. She was friendly and personable, and this customer service experience is something that I can't and won't forget. I will make Ice Capps a regular stop on my trips to the Goshen area. The ice cream and gelato were delicious, and I'm planning on bringing a cooler to get a lot of it back...

Ice Capps has hands down the BEST gelato I’ve ever tasted! We worked with Colleen to bring our dream of having a gelato truck at our wedding to life, and she went above and beyond! Not only were the gelato, Italian ices, cream ices, and boozy ices absolutely delicious, but everything is made from scratch. Colleen is incredible—she was able to create any flavor we could think of, and every single one of our guests was RAVING about her desserts! She was also incredibly accommodating with allergies and even made gluten-free cookies and cream gelato for my best friend who has Celiac. She hadn’t had cookies and cream since her diagnosis, and she said it was the highlight of the night!
