Tom's Drive In — Restaurant in Town of Grand Chute

My husband and I stopped by the Toms on Westhill Blvd tonight. We ordered and had already paid when we noticed the guy who was supposed to collect and bag food not wearing his mask properly. It was below his chin. He was leaning into the cooking area, over where food is placed for orders. * EVERYONE else we could see (from our car) wore their masks as required. The guy walked toward the window as we waited and my husband motioned for him to come over. We asked why he wasn’t wearing his mask and his response was, “what’s the big deal, you aren’t wearing one either.” We told him we knew someone who had just died from COVID, the law said he was supposed to wear a mask, and we were asking him to. My husband had one on because he was closest to the window and ordered. I was in the passenger seat and at least 6 ft away from the building, so mine was off. We pointed this out as well as the fact that we weren’t preparing anyone’s food. He then asked what we were going to do about it. Awesome atmosphere as soon as u walk in! The center of the dining room is filled with tables that are old Tilt-a-Whirl cars! Instantly brought me back to my child hood when my parents would take me to Bay Beach or the fair. Staff is super friendly, cashier was super bubly and positive u could tell she enjoys being here. I instantly received her positivity and returned it with my own. The store is fille with a very good ora and straight solid vibes! I ordered just a single burger, it was the Tom's Special. The burger was juicy, well seasoned and very well put ❤ deffinetly hit the spot. Nothing to say but positive this is an awesome place and has been added to my list of cool places to eat in the Grand chute area. Keep up the solid work and putting out quality product and service. This Toms gets my aeal of apporval and would recommend it it to any one who wants to have quick quality food in a straight solid positive atomosphere. Overall the food is pretty good. The service however brings the rating down. The last two times I have hit the drive through at this location on the way past I ordered fries and with the meal and requested, Ketchup. Both times I ended up without.

The most recent time I specifically verified that I could have ketchup with the extra fries I ordered. The cashier at the window verified “Catsup in bag”.

I understand where the confusion came in when they couldn’t find the “catsup” to put in the bag but it really puts a damper on their fries that are very lightly salted to begin with when they are eaten plain.

My quick drive through visit turned into a trip back into the building to grab open top ketchups trying to avoid waiting at the window for the originally requested Ketchup.
