this is a lengthy one so be prepared but also use this as a good reason to never go to this dennys location EVER
i don’t think i’ve ever in my life had a worse experience at a restaurant than i did today at this dennys. we walk in the door at 3:45, get seated quickly, that’s about the only good thing that happened. the hostess gets us our drinks, she was quick and friendly. about 10 mins later, our server, Amber asks us if we’ve taken our order yet. obviously we haven’t. she was not super friendly at all, she actually had almost nothing to say to us. we order an appetizer to come out first and she puts it in, then comes back to take our orders for our meals. we all ordered grand slam breakfasts, and she went to go ring it in. not a peep from her afterwards. she never checked in on us, never brought us silverware, never refilled our drinks. i had to save the last few sips of my drink for when my food came. and i had to get up and get my own silverware, i might as well have clocked in at this point. even if we wanted to ask, she didn’t bother coming to or near our table anyways so that prevented us from being able to ask. we get our appetizer which was decent. then an hour goes by, still no meals. mind you, it is not at all busy in the restaurant and there were three servers on. the other ones i watched greet, smile, and talk to their customers, check in on them, etc. ours, couldn’t have cared less about us or providing good service. finally our food comes over an hour after ordering, and she tells me that she forgot to ring mine in and that she will immediately and it will be right out. so everyone else is eating their food, i’m still waiting, waiting and waiting. lots of waiting in this restaurant. finally my food comes and we just want to leave, by the time i got my food, everyone else i was with had already finished their meals. so i ask for a box and she takes about 10 mins to get me a box, then goes and sits in a booth and plays on her phone while talking with the person sat at that table. before i go to box my food my brother notices its absolutely covered in god knows what. butter? syrup? who knows. but it’s covered in food and the box itself has crumbs all in it as if the box was already used before me. i was so disgusted, the manager was nice enough to take my meal off and show her apologies, she was friendly as well. but that will not change my opinion on this disgusting, run down, shitty serviced dennys. and our server was nowhere near apologetic, friendly, NOTHING. seems like serving is not the job for her. do better. also throwing out there, CLEAN YOUR BATHROOMS!!!!! the toilet seat was covered in god knows what bodily fluids, toilet paper all over the floor. mystery stains on the sink, garbage overflowing. i didn’t bother even using the bathroom after seeing that. just so disappointed with the experience i had. we ended up getting out of there about 5:30pm. BEWARE OF THIS DENNYS AND DONT WASTE YOUR...
Read moreAfter a wonderful night at a hotel with my boyfriend in Greece, NY we decided to go to a restaurant for breakfast. I haven't heard the best things about Denny's on Ridge Road in Greece, but I just figured it was just a rumor . When my boyfriend and I walked in, right away I figured this wasn't going to be a good experience. The greeter who seated us seemed as though he didn't know where he was going or what he was doing . After he looked around the restaurant trying to figure out where to place us, mind you there were only about five or six tables in the entire restaurant that had people at them, he eventually placed us when I said "you can seat us where ever you like, it looks like you're struggling." He laughed and said "yeah you saw my looking around." I am a polite person and I am a waitress at a restaurant. I am very lenient with a lot of situations and people because I have to do that at my own job . After being seated we waited for our waitress to show about 10-15 min .Before she came to our booth she went to a booth with 4 people bringing what looked like a new plate of food after they had already been eating, apologizing and explaining she was sorry and bla bla bla and they seemed extremely annoyed. By the time she came to our table, she proceeded to say "how are y'all doing, want some drinks ?" Extremely unprofessional and set a pot of hot coffee on our table ... We had already figured out what we would like to eat for breakfast . We beat the breakfast rush so I was confident we would get our meal and our drinks quite quickly. I was proved wrong right away . We waited 15 minutes for a coffee and a water and a milkshake . (They had run out of vanilla ice cream so we had to use chocolate) by the time she came, she had said "don't shoot the messenger, we ran out of clean cups." she then gave us our water in carry out cups like we were at McDonald's ! I had no silverware so I had to stir my creamer into my coffee with my straw from my water . After waiting ANOTHER 15-20 minutes for our meal we STILL DIDNT HAVE silverware and a guy ended up giving it to us. My boyfriend finished his meal and I was full and needed a box . NO ONE WAS TO BE FOUND ! The table of four and I kept making eye contact. They needed refills on coffee and what not as well! I never got a refill, she never came and checked up on us ONCE!!!!! I have never made a review on any restaurant ever !!! But this is the WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER EATEN ! No refills, dirty silverware, ridiculously long wait !!!! Unprofessional talk . When she eventually came, she proceeded to say " alright, alright, I won't keep you guys hostage any longer," and gave us our bill....

I agreed and returned to give it another try. To my surprise, it was a great experience from the moment we stepped in the door. The restaurant was clean, even the bathrooms, it was well staffed, and staff were really friendly. We had a great meal, our server was wonderful, and it was great to see the old Denny's we used to know. Kudos Denny's. It was a nice surprise and I hope things remain this way. This is the last Denny's in our area and we hope to keep you around.
Original Post: This restaurant is absolutely disgusting!! We have gone to the Denny's at 2890 W Ridge Rd a few times. Every time we go there (yes, every time we have gone there) the place is filthy and the women's bathroom is disgusting. At first we wrote it off as short staffed, bad day, whatever. Sorry to say it has been the norm. It is sad. Denny's used to be a great diner. If this is what the public eye sees, I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like!
The second to last time we went there, the poor server dropped the entire tray of food on our table. Thank God no one was hurt other than some food on our clothes. They kindly moved us to another table and started all over again. We felt bad for the server, because the manager did not even come out to see if everything was okay with him or us. I emailed Denny's and complained. They did call me, but offered no restitution.
The last time we were there, November 5th, we ordered one of their new menu items. I got the Brisket one top of their mac-n-cheese. The brisket was really good, but the meal otherwise was less than desired. I brought to the attention of our server that there was barely any macaroni and that is was all melted cheese. According to her, there was nothing she could do. I should have just returned my meal and left. I ended up not eating it, as I did not want to eat all melted cheese only. So I brought it home and figured I would doctor it up and have it later. When I got home, I actually measured it. There was 1/4 cup of macaroni and under 3 oz. of brisket! And the meal cost $17.50!!! Definitely...
