I want to give a huge shoutout to Kim from Home & Entertainment at the Wegmans Ridgemont location—she is truly an angel in disguise! Yesterday morning, on my way to work, I was in a car accident. Kim was driving behind me, and without hesitation, she pulled over to make sure I was okay. She stayed with me, comforting me while we waited for the police and ambulance, which meant more to me than words can express.
It wasn’t until we started briefly talking that I noticed she was also in her Wegmans uniform and heading into work, just like me. As a fellow Wegmans employee from another location, this moment truly showed me how strong our company’s sense of family is. Kim’s kindness and compassion went above and beyond, and I am incredibly grateful for her support in such a scary situation.
Thank you, Kim, for being such a wonderful person, and thank you to Wegmans for fostering a culture that extends beyond just our individual stores. This experience reaffirmed just how special it is to be part of the...
Read more"Every day you get our best" would sure hate to see sub-par. Not sure about other locations but this one is spiraling down the drain. Latest, but not limited to event. Diced celery, all four of them had been on the shelf so long that they had turned to slime on the bottom of the container. Hey when it changes color it's probably no good anymore. Out of six produce scales two were broken and three were out of labels. Stockers line the isles and could care less if you're trying to get to something. Also, the reason l like the self checkout is so I can package my over priced goods in a manner that assures me they will make it home in good shape. Not like my cashier I had to use because all of the self checkouts were closed, who was more than willing to set a pineapple on a loaf of bread. Bet Ole Danny wouldn't be to happy with this mess,...
Read moreI have shopped at many of their stores, and I find that Ridgemont has many issues, especially with their service desk employees. I also have issues with their cashiers: I ask them to pack the bags to medium capacity, and they stock them so full, I can't lift them out of the cart. In addition, the dairy section manager promised me he would move the large bottles of coffee creamer because they are difficult to extract....that was six months ago. Nothing has changed...and, you can never find someone to help you.
As of today, 3/22/21, I am reiterating the trouble I have with cashiers loading up my bags. They ask me sometimes, and I tell them, and then they ignore me. I have repeatedly had to empty the bags, and re-bag my items so I can lift the bags. I really would appreciate them listening to me; I now avoid four cashiers, and have to stand in a longer line to try...
