Overall, we came away underwhelmed with our experience at the Copper Kettle. We arrived at 6 pm with a reservation for two, but we probably could have been seated without one. The place is small but includes both bar and outside seating. It has street and garage parking nearby. Service was a tad slow considering the amount of people in the restaurant. There were 2 on staff that night (one who looked like the manager). While the server was nice and welcoming, the manager's demeanor was cold the entire meal which made us feel as if we did something wrong. We figured people have off days, so we tried not to dwell on it too much. Concerning the food, we started off with the mussels which took about 15 mins to arrive. They were served in tomato sauce with a single piece of "focaccia" (more similar to toast with olive oil). Other than the bread, the app was yummy and we would order it again. The sauce had tons of garlic, which is our favorite. For entrees, we split the pot pie and the chickie sandwich. These came about 50 mins into the meal. The pot pie was done in a small cast iron, with the pie dough being overlayed on top. Nothing out of the ordinary with this one if you've had chicken pot pie before. Perhaps a tad runnier than we normally like but solid overall. The crust itself had a great taste. The chickie sandwich was a big miss for us. It was a large piece of fried chicken with slaw, a homemade bun, fries, and a side of ketchup. The chicken was fried well but lacked flavor. The bun was dry and dense. The slaw was fine but we probably would have preferred more of it to balance the sandwich. The best thing was the fries which were nice and crispy. We wrapped up with some dessert and cappuccino. They have an actual espresso machine that they use by the bar. This was made quickly and served hot. The desserts came shortly after and came in two small mason jars. We tried the butterscotch and Panna Cotta. Both were delicious and a nice way to end the meal. We're not in a rush to return, but will probably give it another go eventually.

First time eating here since moving to the hood a few months ago. Been meaning to come here for a while and I was not disappointed. I had the eggplant meatballs as an app. Not bad at all, but the corn garnish was not needed (corn was on everything on the menu rn). Strange taste with tomato sauce. The orrechiete with lamb was terrific! Really balanced and the orrechiete was super fresh. Recommended. If you're tall like me, avoid sitting at the bar, it's cramped, especially during a busy service, you'll get bumped in to. Only two service staff for small place, but they did a great job, no long waits for anything and they were rolling. I look forward to going back!

This tiny restaurant is outstanding 👏. I have been here 5x and have tried almost everything on the menu. There is not a bad dish this chef makes. The pasta is incredible. The meats are insane from duck to beef to chicken they are all amazing. I can't say enough good things about this place. if you are in the area try it. Street parking can be tough at times but don't worry there is a large parking garage just across the street. The menu changes according to season or holiday and the food is always fresh. Not many places as good as this in Westchester honestly. Good variety great staff and awesome food.

My girlfriend and I come to the neighborhood to dine but we've always wanted to try this place. With all the great reviews, we had planned on lunch today and possibly dinner tomorrow. However after our treatment, we will never come here again.

We visited on Saturday 8/7/21, around 2:50pm. What we were greeted with was far from what I'd call warm. We arrived and there were three patrons in the place, one eating. My girlfriend greeted the man behind the bar with a cheerful hello. No reply. He kept his back to us and ignored us. He was doing something with the register but that shouldn't keep you from acknowledging a patron. I was willing to let that go but it continued. After some seconds, he turns around looking annoyed and says "what?". I said, "two for lunch". He turned his back on us again and returned to fiddling with the register. After another long pause, he turns around with a look of disdain. Then, using only his hands, gestures for us to seat ourselves. That was the final straw. We turned and started to walk out. Now he speaks, "NOT OUTSIDE", as if we were going to sit curbside. I yelled back that we don't want to eat here, and we promptly left and went to a more welcoming establishment.

Now I don't know if it was a black thing but it sure felt like it to us. The lack of warmth and hospitality was palpable.

Thanks for being so open with it. Saves me from giving you my money, especially since you clearly...

In general, average at best. I'm someone who dines out a a lot and truly appreciates fine service and food as I was also in the business for 26 years. The service was very amateurish. We walked into a restaurant with 2 or 3 other tables at 6:15pm. Sat for 10 minutes before I had to raise my hand to get a drink order in. Then, the rush was on by the staff as they simply don't know how to read people, at all. They asked if we were ready to order upon getting our drinks as we were talking. Tried to pick up our appetizer plates with food on it as we were talking. Then, worst of all, the entrees arrive while we are literally taking the last bite of the appetizer. I asked if they needed the table back so quickly or what was the rush? Someone needs to manage the front of the house as this place has potential. Octopus appetizer was excellent. Farrow appetiter was good, but it was one huge blob on a plate, little to no finesse used in presentation and the portion was for like 4 people. My Fettucini with duck special, nice, decent flavor but it lacked real personality in flavor distinction but I would give it a 4 out of 5 for that. Not sure if I would go back. My saying always is, great service can save a bad meal but lousy service cannot save good food. I do want this place to succeed and this is my brutally honest...
