So embarrassed I brought my guests here. Was looking for a covid-safe way to host my guests and my baby in early March so decided to try the outdoor dining since I see they have two heaters next to each table. The waiter didn't want to turn on the heaters because he said it was windy and we wouldn't feel it. I asked him to please turn it on so we can see how we feel because we literally didn't have another option. When he turned it on it was comfortable and fine. It would have been nice if he agreed to turn on the second one that they have on the other side of the table too, but he refused. Was he being cheap or something? People are coming to you because you have these heaters and you're advertising outdoor seating, so why the big resistance to help us feel comfortable? We were ok with the one heater for half the stay but then it went out and he refused to turn it on again!? What kind of hospitality is this? Certainly not the way it was with the previous owners. In addition to this situation the staff was just stuck up in general, very unpleasant. The food was also sub par. My quinoa bowl was just a little bit of grains with a ton of arugula which was so un-fresh that I had to dig in between rotting leaves. Absolutely disgusting. Never going there again, and now having to apologize to my guests for such an uncomfortable experience. That's not what I envisioned, and certainly would have never experienced with the old owners or at the Irish Bank down the street. Will be taking my business elsewhere and advising my neighbors to...
Read moreI wish I could give this restaurant 0 stars. Where to begin? I met my brother and mother there for lunch and right away the owner was rude. My mom asked to please turn on the heater since they had a couple and he right away said if it is too windy he'll have to turn it off and then reluctantly turned it on. It would've been nice if he turned on the other heater on the other side of the table but of course he ignored that. The food was mediocre (and I am being nice) by saying that. My mom ordered the short rib gnocchi ragu and I swear it tasted like the Nutrisystem pasta I used to eat. I ordered the Margerita pie and asked for peperoni on it. The peperoni was burnt and tiny, the pizza was mushy with gloppy cheese and when I tried to take a bite, the whole slice was caving in. I was very unhappy with their cappucino for dessert, it was too strong and hardly any froth on top of it. To add insult to injury, as soon as my mom paid the bill, he automatically turned off the heat lamp before we even had a chance to get up and leave! How rude is that????? PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND DO NOT TRY THIS RESTAURANT. I AM NEVER GOING BACK,...
Read moreWent last week Sunday to have lunch with 3 coworkers I had not seen since March. Everything was tasty from the appetizers to the dessert. Make sure you leave room for dessert! The wait staff were attentive but not intrusive as we spent almost 3 hours drinking and dining. The were also diligent with making sure they were complying with the socially distant table placings as well as providing hand sanitizer on every table. Of course, masks are required upon entering until seated. The food was absolutely delicious and did not disappoint. I first had a refreshing drink called the part-time lover. We all tried a variety of food like the scallops over risotto (substituted with arugula) caprese salad for apps and the lamb w/fingerling potatoes, soppresata wood-fire pizza, short-rib ragu gnocchi and the spaghetti carbonara for main courses. We all had the lava cake with ice cream for dessert. What a beautiful little spot in the heart of Hartsdale. I’m looking forward to returning to try some other...
