I was really excited to try place, but unfortunately the excitement ended as soon we arrived. They have outdoor seating but outdoor seating smelled of garbage, so I wouldnāt advise. I had to basically beg the hostess to sit inside because she told me she didnāt have anything open. When I looked inside and saw available seating but she told me that there was two people waiting before us. 10 minutes later I walk inside to get a menu and the same table is still open and she is seating people who came in after us. The hostess notices the empty table and tells me she is ready for us. We sit down and 10 minutes later our waiter who walked pass us numerous times finally appears. We ask for a specific drink and the waiter tells us the bartender canāt make that but he will ask. About 5 minutes later my husband decided to go ask the bartender himself who said of course I can make it for you. My husband and I are waiting for the waiter to come back and when he appears he tells my husband to go pick our drinks up at the bar and walks away. As my husband is waiting at the bar the he tells the bartender the waiter told him to pick up our drinks and he apologizes let him know he will bring the drinks over. Another 7 minutes our waiter reappears to take our order. Appetizers first, drinks are done, water almost done and no waiter in site. Dinner comes still no waiter in site, while wanting something so simple as water. Finally someone comes to clear our table and asks if we would like a dessert menu. We waited another 15 minutes for our waiter and eventually asked another waiter for our bill. The other waiter brings our bill and even asked if we would like more water, which is more then our waiter offered. As soon as the bill hits my husbands hand all of a sudden waiter appears with the card checkout to ring our bill up. He never asked how are our food was or even if we would like anything else. My husband told him if he leaves a tip he will leave it in cash as the waiter asked him how much he would like to put for the tip while swiping his card. I told my husband not to leave a tip as the service was not up to par to receive one. As we were walking out our waiter chased out of the restaurant asking for his tip. Clearly he does not understand that the definition of gratuity is a sum of money given to someone who provides service or a favor as a way to show graciousness or thankfulness. There was nothing to be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVega is a restaurant my wife and I enjoyed dining at. We had ordered for delivery and hadn't had any problems, until tonight. After placing an order online and receiving a confirmation with a delivery estimate of 35 mins. we found ourselves calling after an hour. After being placed on hold and then speaking to several people we were told the order would be delivered in less than ten mins. After ten mins the driver called to say he would be here in ten mins. We gave him very specific instructions about our house being the fourth on the right hand side of the street as the house numbers are not sequential. After 20 mins we began calling again and were passed over to different individuals none of whom seemed to know what was going on. The driver called to say he was in front of the house which I was sure was incorrect as he wasn't at our house. When he arrived he insisted he was in front of the right house despite being in front of the wrong house. We are pretty sure we know where we live. When my wife disputed his claim the driver smirked and said "the customer is always right, right"? I called the restaurant again and spoke to yet another person after identifying myself who proceeded to talk over me and then tried to tell me that we shouldn't order through the internet because the order was delayed. That was strange as it was their website and their confirmation. While he continued to talk over me to tell me what we needed to do in the future I advised him it wasn't necessary as there would be no future orders. I informed him we were returning the order and I wanted the card credited. While still trying to talk over me, without an apology I might add, I asked again to have the card credited he told me "I don't need your money".
Needless to say Vega will never get anymore of our money as service is clearly not of interest to them. The food was only ok but the service...
